"...I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:"
(Acts 2:17)

Young men, are you having visions? That does not mean you have some type of supernatural extra-Biblical visitations. Do you see what God is doing? The Spirit of God enables you to see Him that is invisible, to look past all of the distractions and grasp the vision of God, the kingdom of God. Young men--young Samuel's, young David's--full of the Holy Ghost. As Samuel anointed David in the midst of his older brothers, what a powerful statement that was concerning David's life. Samuel 16:13 says, "Then Samuel took the horn of oil [the anointing oil is a symbol of the Holy Spirit], and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward." This was a man after God's own heart, a young man prepared.

David was out there singing songs and being visited of God, but after he was anointed, he was a new man and empowered. Don't take the Spirit of God and become idle. If you do you'll sit at home and get a glimpse of Bathsheba. When God's anointing is on you, burn yourself out in the energy and the power of God! When you are full of oil, light the thing on fire and let her burn, praise God! "Stir up the gift that's in you," the Apostle says to young Timothy, "by the laying on of my hands."

I believe the Holy Spirit wants to stir up these gifts in us. How long has it been since there has been a prophetic utterance? How long has it been since there has been tongues and interpretation? How long since the word of wisdom or a word of knowledge? How long since the Spirit led you to lay hands on somebody and you saw God raise them up? How long since you felt a special unction to be a witness unto Him, the anointed words of God coming out of your mouth like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces? Or has there been more of a sensation of Saul or the tragic experience of Samson, who used to know the anointing? Samson would rip a lion in half. Then distracted by the women of the enemy, he rises up and shakes himself, and there's no Spirit any longer in his life. As long as Samson's power was used for the glory of God, the Spirit was there. As long as he didn't defile himself with the cares of the world, the Spirit was there. As long as Saul was small in his own eyes, the Spirit was there. If he had obeyed, the Spirit would have abode upon him without measure. Instead, the Spirit was taken from him and an evil spirit from the Lord came upon him.

I believe that God is stirring us in this hour, preparing us to battle against this spirit of antichrist, the spirit of this age, the spirit of lukewarmness, the spirit of compromise, the spirit of amalgamation of religions and doctrines. There is only one truth--the Spirit of truth who leads us into all truth. If we're to stay true in this last day, you have to become very, very familiar with that voice, because there are a lot of skilled false prophets convincing and deceiving many with the Word of God. "My sheep know My voice, and another they will not follow." Do you know His voice? Are you available to the Holy Spirit?
