Turned Into Another Man Pt.1
Turned Into Another Man Pt.1
Date: January 1, 2003 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Daily transformation of our hearts. How big are you in your own
eyes? Don't mistake the anointing of God for character.
Character is living for the eternal perspective. God can put
things perfectly on course through imperfect men. God's not
looking for perfect men; He's looking for yielded men. Be
teachable. In the order of God, we're not all equal. Daily
obedience and the mundane keep you the new man. Natural
timidity is not humility. It's not the excitement of the
anointing, but the obedience to the commandment that determines
character. It's not how we respond to the revival but how we
respond in the mundane.

Turned Into Another Man Pt.2
Turned Into Another Man Pt.2
Date: January 5, 2003 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Character has nothing to do with your environment. How faithful
are you in the small things? God is orchestrating where you are
today. Over-occupation with self. Die Daily. If you're not
being used its because your perception of yourself has changed.
Samuel grew up in a house of hypocrisy and became a light of
God. God can bless you in your current circumstances. He's not
looking for perfection - He's looking for humility. The remnant
might not include your family and there's nothing you can do
about it. Did God's promises run out when your ability to
understand them ran out? A man after God's own heart will do
whatever God tells Him no matter what it costs him. How dare
you justify your children instead of God! David's mighty man
wanted David to get the glory when they took the city. Saul
would have made Saulsville. Have a spirit of Joab and realize
which king we're serving. Just because immediate judgment
doesn't come doesn't mean its not coming. Rebellion is a public
show of witchcraft to influence others. I can't save my kids
and I can't drive them from Jesus.
-
Turned Into Another Man Pt.3
Turned Into Another Man Pt.3
Date: January 5, 2003 Sun PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: We're image conscious in our society. God doesn't choose based
on appearance. Our hearts needs to be one with the heart of
God. All of Jesse's sons could be servants - only one could be
king. You can be used of God one time and touch the kingdom
forever. We're not capable of loving until we've been loved.
David was pursuing the heart of God. David stayed small in his
own eyes. When God departs from you - Satan enters you. Don't
be deceived by the calming of the Sprit if there isn't a
brokenness. You'll never be able to serve in leadership until
you realize you're a common man in the body. You need faith -
not experience. You get the experience by walking in faith.
Mighty men gravitated toward David; Who gravitates toward you?
What am I proven in?

Panel Discussion
Panel Discussion
Date: January 8, 2003 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastoral Staff
Synopsis: Defecting. Don't let anyone interpret the Bible for you. Going
to Church doesn't mean you're right with God. Having proper
doctrine doesn't mean you're right with God. What are we doing
to increase our level of obedience? To obey is better than
sacrifice. An overwhelming percentage of people who have left
have been over dealing with the sin in their children. Usually
it's the sin in their lives contributing. It starts with the
children, but every home was controlled by the wife. Don't value
the family above the glory of God. We're contending with the
spirit of your greatest enemy being those in your family. There
is no greater delusion than self-delusion. Willful sin is the
willful remaining in sin. The cause of sin is always pride.
Submit to those in authority over you even if you don't see it.
Those offended at the cost of the cross are those who will be
shaken out. You can't be a Christian YOUR way there's only one
way. A treasure becomes an idol when it replaces the Lord.
Where are you in the prioritizing of your treasure? The
professed church today has less morals than the unsaved moral
people of the 50's.

Turned Into Another Man Pt.4
Turned Into Another Man Pt.4
Date: January 12, 2003 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Jonathan loved David over his natural father because David loved
God. Saul sought the glory of men and David sought the glory of
God. When you're in sin you think everyone is acting like you.
The child of the flesh will always war with the child of the
spirit. You'll know what condition you're in by how you respond
to those you are jealous. Do you have the ammunition necessary
to destroy the enemy in our midst? We don't start our day
defensively; we start offensively. When you're fully arrayed in
the armor of God there is an offensive spirit that comes upon
you. Of all the things David did he was never involved in
idolatry. You don't have to be what mom and dad WERE; you can
be what mom and dad ARE. We're not looking to stir trouble up,
but we'll not compromise. Don't trust anybody that's not in
this kingdom. David behaved himself wisely and the Lord was
with him.

Turned Into Another Man Pt.5
Turned Into Another Man Pt.5
Date: January 15, 2003 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: God's looking for character - not ability. You're not going to sin when you're on the front line of the battle; it will be in the prosperity after. We can't be a man of vengeance. Let God settle things. We don't administer the judgment and we don't stand in the way. Broken order. You can't just do what you want. Out of due order. Uza was smitten. Worldly wagons or sanctified shoulders. Don't touch God's anointed.
-
Turned Into Another Man Pt.6
Turned Into Another Man Pt.6
Date: January 19, 2003 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Kingdom of light and darkness. Persecution is just around the corner. Saul did not put himself forward - the people wanted a king. Complete surrender. Don't follow your king into idolatry. Never allow any authority to usurp God's lordship. If authority speaks contrary to the Word we have no obligation to follow. A dishonest man can be conned. The world can do good. By what means is it being done, and who's getting the glory? Anything that exalts man where God doesn't get the glory is idolatry. They chose themselves over God. Selective truth over absolute truth. You can keep free from the pressure of this World if you keep the Word as absolute truth. God has blessed us for His glory. There's a day of justice coming. If the Word of God makes no sense to you or you are unable to do the Word of God - you're not born again.

Let Us Draw Near Pt.1
Date: January 22, 2003 Wed PM

Synopsis: How tightly are you holding your crown? Come out from among them and be separate. Provoke unto love and good works. What are you like when you're around people who love Jesus?
-
Let Us Draw Near Pt.2
Let Us Draw Near Pt.2
Date: January 26, 2003 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Relating to those who have been shaken out. What's been happening is of God. Sovereignty of God. We've minimized backsliding. Misapplication of "Pleased to Dwell" - for pagans. You're going to have to deal with your own emotions. The battle is between light and darkness. This whole thing is about loving or hating Jesus. Jesus came to bring a sword. If you love your father or mother more than Jesus you're not worthy of Him. Good hearts respond to the Word of God and obey it. People who are unenlightened think their families are special. Prejudice has one source: pride. Tares: you're aware that they're not right with God but they're not. You let a tare grow when they're not bothering anybody. Everyday they reject what they know they make a public mockery of the Blood of Jesus. If they can quote the Word of God to you they were enlightened. If you send care packages to the pigpen you're not going to get the results of the prodigal. The prodigal's father had hope but he never pursued. They were not overcome by sin; they chose sin. There is no such thing as an individual being in control of his own life. Every backslider is committing idolatry. Their decision was not made in an instance; it was make over time.
-
Let Us Draw Near Pt.3
Let Us Draw Near Pt.3
Date: January 26, 2003 Sun PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: How to respond to those who have defected. There is a big difference between a backslider and a pagan who has never been born again. The backslider is mocking the blood of Jesus. They are enemies of the cross of Christ. If you want to live you have to die. Backsliders bring reproach to the kingdom and the blood of Jesus. God can perfectly love and perfectly hate the same being at the same time - you can't. You can't treat the backslidden children the same as the faithful children - it's an abomination. You don't come when you want - you come when you're called. There is only one way. It's harder to defect than you think. It's not intellectual decisions being made, it's heart condition. It's actual spiritual death. You can't win them with kindness anymore than other unbelievers. They shall be filled with their own devices. God's more concerned by their eternal condition than their comfort. How seriously are we taking our covenant? It's easy to say amen until it's our house - then we look for loopholes. Defectors were not accepted in God's presence; they were to be killed. The enticement can be subtle. Judgment begins with shaming. Don't get in the way of God and try to protect them; the shaming is to bring a reconciliation.

Let Us Draw Near Pt.4
Let Us Draw Near Pt.4
Date: January 29, 2003 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: These services are to protect us and to put fear in us. You've
forgotten the depravity of man. Your family and friends are not
basically good: they're evil. If our righteousness is as filthy
rags, then how filthy is our depravity? Once you have tasted
you can never deny. Today the decisions bring discomfort.
Pretty soon they will bring death. He puts us in the body as it
pleases Him. The local church is not a club. If you leave one
church to go to another church with a lower standard it's
backsliding. It begins with the departure of sound doctrine.
Apostates can have different degrees of religiosity. These
people all elevate themselves to teacher status. Some shall
depart - backslide. Satan's doctrine: You won't die. Idolatry
is placing self as the object around which everything revolves.
Taking scriptures and twisting them to the glory of man. Your
children who apostasized were not plucked out of Father's hand;
they chose to depart. They are not victims; they are God-
haters. They are liars and they know they are not right with
God. Their conscience is seared. Law of sowing and reaping.
Most apostates don't run to their old ways. They find teachers
who will tell them what they want to hear. They know they're
going to hell; they just want someone to tell them they're going
to heaven. They will give themselves more to justifying their
false doctrine then they ever did to following sound doctrine.
To earnestly contend for the faith. They overemphasized grace
to the cost of the truth of the gospel. The love of Cain.
Gainsaying is a common denominator. (To oppose or contradict)
You turn them over to Satan for the destruction of their flesh.

Let Us Draw Near Pt.5
Let Us Draw Near Pt.5
Date: February 2, 2003 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: The Word of God will cause division in households and relationships. The world thinks you're a cult if you obey the bible. There is no communion or desire to be around or delight in these people. Be separate - determine the limits, mark off boundaries. The bottom line is: Who is your mother and brothers. You will only be as separate as you are in fear of God. To continue to fellowship, commune with those who have backslidden is to bring a reproach on God and take part in their sin. The separation is twofold. That God would be glorified and that those who have defected would be reconciled. Total depravity is being out from under the Lordship of Jesus. Absolutely separate from righteousness. It you're not right with God you're the enemy of God. If you justify the wicked you're an abomination to the Lord. You're going to have to trade natural sons for spiritual sons. In the NT there was no church down the street. There was a spiritual leader over the city. Those doing the word are right. Everyone else is wrong. Those doing the word represent God. Those that aren't doing the word don't represent God. The real shepherd is the man willing to take up his cross and tell everyone the truth. Rebellion is broken order and does not have to be hostile; it can be done sweetly. It's not against the person - it's against the principle. Rebellion against the order. You study what God has to say. Embrace the obvious principle.

Date: February 5, 2003 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Chuck LaRock

What is Repentance? Pt.1
What is Repentance? Pt.1
Date: February 9, 2003 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Richard Miller
Synopsis: Repentance is a way of life. Repentance is an attitude of heart. Purity, no darkness at all. Light comes as a result of fellowship. If you didn't come to God with a repentant heart your relationship is not right. Three parts to repentance: hatred for your depravity, true godly sorrow, and passion to be changed. Saul hated the consequences - not the sin. Hatred for sin is supernatural because our flesh loves it. A lot of people have heard about God but have never encountered Him. Abhorring yourself is necessary for repentance. If you don't hate sin it's because you haven't encountered God. God doesn't accept you until you abhor yourself. When you hate the sin you know you deserve everything you've got coming. We can't repent until we have encountered His holiness.
-
What is Repentance? Pt.2
What is Repentance? Pt.2
Date: February 9, 2003 Sun PM
Teacher: Pastor Richard Miller
Synopsis: We don't hate sin because of the consequences; we hate it because of the offense against God. You are not what you know; you are what you do - your choices. It's a dangerous thing when you think you know all the answers. The more time you spend in the presence of God the more jealousy you will have for God. Do you hate the evil you find in your flesh? No confidence in the flesh. Fear of the Lord brings hatred for evil. Hatred for sin can only come from an encounter with God. Make sure you continue to loathe yourself. Never forget what you're capable of without Him. Are you close enough to God to know when you've hurt Him? Worldly sorrow is concerned with self. God has emotions. He hurts, grieves and experiences pain.

You will give an account. Vehement Desire: deep longing to be like Christ. Zeal: jealousy, hatred. Guarding every thought and distraction. Every seduction and enticement begins as a thought. Revenge: retribution, recompense. Making right what was wrong. Going the extra mile.

Of God, For God, By God Pt.2
Of God, For God, By God Pt.2
Date: February 16, 2003 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Chuck LaRock
Synopsis: Redemption. Kingdom of God is about God. For God - man is not the focal point. Redemption is about God's glory. Your happiness is not the first thing on His list. God's love for us comes from the pure being that He is. If our love has any root of self in it it's not pure. The only source of pure love is communion with Father. If you're a murmurer and complainer you need to loathe yourself because you've lost your gratitude.

What is Repentance? Pt.4
What is Repentance? Pt.4
Date: February 19, 2003 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Richard Miller
Synopsis: Your sin is a betrayal of love and trust. Repentance is a gift from God. We can't manufacture it. It has to come from God. Our part is to be a living sacrifice. Repentance cannot happen until He changes the heart. Repentance comes when you embrace an encounter of the glory and purity of God and see your sin. Weeping, mourning, overcome with grief. You make the choice to surrender and God does the rest. We can't acknowledge the truth without His illumination. Discipline is external motivation because there is not internal motivation to keep them on the straight and narrow. When you come to God with and honest heart you will find Him.

Hard After Thee Pt.1
Hard After Thee Pt.1
Date: February 23, 2003 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: God is seeking for a people He can show Himself mighty in. How can you feel good about yourself when in you is no good thing? God's covenant is with individuals. We live in a generation of people who hate the word Jesus and want to stop it. Without the pursuit there is no presence. Without the presence there is no power. You live by dying. Are you willing to pay the price? He'll confirm His words with signs following. The evidence that God's at work in you is when He gets into your everyday life. There's a lot of talk about the Word but not a lot of people doing it. The only thing that satisfies is the water and bread of life. We begin to worship the access and forget about requiring. How much time do you spend worrying about tomorrow when it may never come? Lay up your treasures in heaven.

Synopsis: God is dealing in men's lives who will trust in Him. You may have made some boneheaded decisions but God can make them for good. Holiness is a complete divesting of the natural realm. See sin and Satan for what they are. Forces so powerful we have no hope of defeating them but for the sovereign power of God. Momentary decisions that are the fruit of a once for all decision to let Jesus be the Lord of our lives. How hard are you following after God? Has the investment been made in the proper kingdom? If you're gong to be the best in something you're going to need to be temperate in all other things. It's going to cost you to be better than you are today. Prepare to be the Apostle Paul of your generation. Don't set your standard of what you're gong to become. Through temperance in everything that is secular.

Date: February 26, 2003 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Steve Gardner
Synopsis: Work out our own salvation. We'll be judged not just by what we say but by what we live. Work it to the finish. Do it perfectly. Don't go half way and stop. You have to work it out the way that God said to work it out. You can't do it your own way. Is God going to approve of the way we lived our life. We just have to obey. Are we neglecting the laws and commandments of God? They followed their own desires and not the desires of God. We can easily be picked off. We easily buckle under the pressure. If you're going to hear well done you'd better do it His way.

The Kingdom of Violence Pt.1
The Kingdom of Violence Pt.1
Date: March 2, 2003 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Living in the kingdom of God. Life in the Spirit. Righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. The kingdom is not in the Pharisaical keeping of the law. Fruit of dependency on the Holy Spirit. Kingdom of obedience. Not in word but in power. It's not observable - it's in the body of Christ. Kingdom of absolute trust and reliance vs. kingdom of independence. Kingdom allows no mediocrity. To what degree am I pursuing? Poor in spirit - no place for independence. We nee to be on the offensive and set out against the enemy. Character traits of humility. There is no fellowship, no cease-fire, no united nations between the two kingdoms. We're on a mission. The other kingdom is motivated by an insatiable appetite for self-fulfillment and lust. Our kingdom is motivated by love. If you aren't hated by this other kingdom you probably aren't fulfilling your duty. We're not asking the world to change their kingdom; we're asking them to leave their kingdom. What have I done to prepare myself for this battle?

The Kingdom of Violence Pt.2
Date: March 2, 2003 Sun PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Our kingdom is not of doctrine - it's of power. Stir up an awareness of what our call is. Seekers of the kingdom first. It takes work to empty self of self. There isn't any joy in anything the world's kingdom has to offer. What doesn't make sense to the natural mind makes perfect sense to the eternal. The citizens of the kingdom DO and TEACH. There is no place for worldliness in the kingdom. Let not us who have the doctrine miss the experience of what the Spirit is doing in these last days. You cannot bring the world's thought processes into the kingdom and bring balance; it's leaven. Increase your faith. We need to get back to the simplicity of walking by faith and not by sight. Faith does not always have an immediate apparent result. What are we doing to justify God and not ourselves?

Experiencing the Supernatural Pt.1
Date: March 9, 2003 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Richard Miller
Synopsis: Father desires that you be strengthened with might. The whole earth is shakable and movable - the people of God are not. Limitless love. You must glorify God. Our pride is the greatest enemy of god getting His glory. When you move in pride you become the enemy of God. God resists the proud - sets himself against. Pride will get you out of the realm of the supernatural faster than anything. Some trials follow you because you need the humility. Man has no intrinsic worth. The things that God has given to us we must never take the credit for it. God raises up and God lowers. Pride is insanity. God chooses you at the moment of crisis when all the pride and arrogance has been stripped away. There is nothing in you that adds to Him or who He is. He is the total sum of all excellence. Pride will be in our flesh until the day we are delivered from this body. You can only be free by walking in the Spirit. How can it be a bad day when He's on the throne? You're not done praising Him until He is big in your eyes.
-
Experiencing the Supernatural Pt.2
Experiencing the Supernatural Pt.2
Date: March 9, 2003 Sun PM

Synopsis: Every day is a day of being filled with His Spirit. Punishing the flesh doesn't bring about a change. He's infinitely bigger than you can make Him. If your God is small it's because your praise is small. Your perception of His holiness is seen in your preparation of His worship. You get out of it what you put into it. Do you set your affection to the house of your God? When you encounter the presence of God you will walk away saying who am I? God manifests where there is true worship and praise. Surrender and abandon your personal agenda. Self-agenda uses the kingdom of God for self-gratification. There will always be a Judas in the midst. You can only be in one accord if you get rid of your chord. If you're not here for the glory of God you won't make it. God alone is to be exalted. Do nothing of yourself.

The Divine Rest Pt.1
The Divine Rest Pt.1
Date: March 23, 2003 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: We're a bunch of weaklings as a nation. Unbelief - faith in the belief that there is no God. We'll have a stronger generation of believers in the next 30 years. To be in anything but rest is evil in God's sight. You cannot be aware of God's presence and be anxious. To be fearful is an absence of the awareness of the love of God. Deceitfulness of sin - self-reliance. The original sin was independence. Every time we trust in the world's system our hearts are hardened. God's original intent for man was dependence. We should be able to exist in innocence in this generation - it's what God intended. Power doesn't come by knowledge it comes by rest and innocence. God did not build Adam a hammock. Rest is being involved in the kingdom of God. You will never know rest when you're consuming life upon yourself. You're being seduced daily by everything that is secular. If it creates in you a heart of unbelief it will kill you. Don't let God's gifts to you replace Him. Sin, independence, unbelief will make you hide from God. If you're afraid then you're naked. Make conscious decisions to choose the rest of God. If you're not at rest you're independent. Lowly - even level. Jesus is not your co-pilot! You are cargo!

If you're going to go to the doctor it should be so you can serve God. Don't you long to be like Joshua and Caleb - having another spirit? An evil heart is one that's absent from the presence of God. Independent. Has it all figured out. Proficient in the tree of knowledge. Which tree entices you? There is no holiness in legalism. Holiness only comes by faith.

Synopsis: The greatest evidence of rest is that you've ceased from your own labors. There is no rest without Thanksgiving and Prayer. You don't get there by resting but by laboring. Whatever plans you have - God has a better plan. Heroes are people that in a moment make unselfish decisions. The rest of the world is in fear. It's not enough to think about God - you have to trust in Him. You don't know who you are until you're under pressure. It's not by accident that some people are victorious - they purposed in their heart. When you've purposed there comes a rest. Confident in the sovereignty of God. Faith doesn't know it all going in but it knows it coming out. What have you done to expect the supernatural?

The Knowledge of God Pt.1
The Knowledge of God Pt.1
Date: April 9, 2003 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: To encounter His presence and be changed in His presence. The original sin is to know what God knows instead of knowing God. Exercises loving kindness, justice and righteousness. He will never leave you without an appetite for Himself. To know His will is to know what we're going to do. To know God is to know how we are going to do it. How much time and energy do we put into things that don't bring us to the knowledge of God? When sin is still dominating our lives we can't know Him. Everything the world and your flesh say is valuable you need to get rid of. The power of His resurrection is to walk in newness of life and to walk free from sin. Counting everything loss so we don't have to serve sin. It's going to cost you more. You have to die more. Do less - stop trying to do it in your own strength.

I'll trust in nothing in the natural. Be still. Have you encountered Him? Has your heart been changed? Leave His presence in awe of His majesty. Are you close enough to hear God's whisper? It's not in the ambiance. It's not in the spectacular. It's in the communion. It's in the relationship. Have you put your fantasy to death yet?

Hosanna
Date: April 13, 2003 Sun PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Has He triumphantly entered into your life, to where what He puts His hand on and says He has need of is immediately His with no questions asked? This kingdom is going to be birthed, established, and sustained by one thing alone, and it's the power of prayer. Prayer is the ability to access and be aware of the presence of God and to acquiesce to the will of God. Prayer is just communion with Father. Prayer is an awareness; it's practicing the presence of God. You haven't prayed until you can say, "Thy will be done."

The Knowledge of God Pt.2
The Knowledge of God Pt.2
Date: April 16, 2003 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Knowing AS God is not the same as knowing God. Everything in the natural is about living for self. God doesn't save nations; He saves individuals. If you don't know God's heart you're going to be confused. You know that you know Him if we obey Him. To receive the grace and capacity to obey Him. When you speak you're representing the heart of God. Are you representing the kingdom of God properly? We misrepresent why Jesus died. Jesus died so you can die with Him. We want the resurrection without the crucifixion. To know God is to love Hi first. His holiness and uniqueness transcends all our knowledge. When you know Him everything makes sense. There has to be a hungering and a jealousy to be set apart. Perfect pursuit.

The Knowledge of God Pt.3
The Knowledge of God Pt.3
Date: April 20, 2003 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Paul had an appetite for God unsurpassed. Your standing with God is just as sure in the bad times as in the good times. Power of resurrection. Power to live a sinless life where sin no longer has dominion over you. Jesus was perfectly and eternally pure. He became saturated with your sin. Grace was sustaining Him. Until you can say I am finished you'll never really know Him. If you want to know Him in the power of His resurrection you must be crucified with Him. The willful apprehending of the cross will free you from the power of sin. The knowledge of God kept Jesus on the cross. Don't work FOR God; work the works OF God.

The Knowledge of God Pt.4
The Knowledge of God Pt.4
Date: April 20, 2003 Sun PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: If we will NOT die, then we MUST die - it becomes more necessary. We don't need to know about God, we need to know God. Press toward the mark - use all your ability. If you don't respond you haven't heard. To respond is to pursue. Content with mediocrity? You may be satisfied with where you are - is God? You can always tell how full your heart is of Jesus by how much you need external things. Idolatry is the replacing of God's will with our own. The kingdom we're called to gives no credit to the things in the natural we'd esteem. When we're willing to die with Him sin no longer has dominion. Death to self is always exhibited by thanksgiving in adversity. Unwillingness to be pruned is what holds back the blessings of God in our lives. The greatest revelation of God is in the person of Jesus. God's bigger than redemption. God's bigger than man and his dealings with man. Everything He's doing in your life is to bring you to His good pleasure. The knowledge of Him: hope of his calling, glory of inheritance of saints, exceeding greatness of His power to us, the mystery of the body of Christ. Our lives are the sum total of our desires.

The Body of Christ Pt.1
The Body of Christ Pt.1
Date: April 23, 2003 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: We want God to reveal himself to us in a spectacular way. If you have a appetite to know God, you'll have an appetite to know the brothers and sisters. We confuse relationship with God as one on one with the head. Our highest calling is to work in direct order with the head to fulfill the mutual care of the body. The church is the fullness of Jesus. What most glorifies Him is corporate sanctification. You can't be holy and be living to yourself. We will never be in harmony until we subordinate to His will. WE think we are the most important. God brings harmony in diversity for His glory. You are exactly how and where He wants you. Anything God gives to you is to profit the body. Your role in the natural doesn't affect your role in the kingdom. Your value is established by the effectiveness by how you're caring for the body of Christ. We don't have to be pleased with our placement - it's to please Him. You'll never realize how valuable you are when you're looking for your worth in your role instead of the person of Jesus Christ.

The Body of Christ Pt.2
Date: April 27, 2003 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: We think we know Him because we don't know ourselves. The more we know our own hearts the greater an appetite to know Him. He's building you up so you can build the rest of us up. Lay aside the appetite for special or angelic visitations. He will reveal Himself to you through your brothers and sisters. Everything has been put beneath our feet. Dominion AND Union. Exceeding greatness of His power to us. The Head through the body affects the Kingdom of God on this earth. The Church, His Body, The Fullness of Him. He's given us the grace to die. Abstinence is a lot easier than temperance. What have you done with the last thing God told you to do? Individually He will prepare you to function corporately. Everything we do affects the body. You have been given the capacity to affect His call on your life.

Synopsis: Don't think of yourself. Stop trying to glorify yourself and begin to edify others. The servant is the one that requires that the will of God be done. Seeking the good of the body of Christ. Don't be confident in your own ability. He's dealt us the faith necessary to be placed in the body of Christ. The moment you question God you're thinking of yourself more highly. He'll put you in the position He wants you in. If you ever have a need and it isn't addressed its your fault. If the body does its job there will be no one on the fringe - they'll join or leave.

Date: April 30, 2003 Wed PM

Synopsis: If I don't walk in the higher power, the lower power takes over. Your thought life shows if you're walking in the resurrection power. What motivates you? Vain glory. We love attention. Our heart cry and motive must be that He must increase and I must decrease. Flattery is always for selfish gain. First thing we have to do is learn to live for His glory. The Body of Christ Pt.4
The Body of Christ Pt.4
Date: May 4, 2003 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: We're getting beautified for our husband Jesus. The holier I get the better it gets for you. The gifts are used in the body so the church receives honor and not individuals. We choose to lay our lives down because we've been loved. Humility - grasping reality with thanksgiving. Reality is His lordship and your servitude. Our changes start internally not externally. Transformed - metamorphosis. There can't be unity until there's transformation. If you're not born again you will never be pliable enough to be put in to the body of Christ. Stop thinking of yourself. Think of the body. Insanity is to think of yourself different then God revealed to you. You will never be what you hope to be if you don't identify where you are. Strife begins by refusing to accept with thanksgiving God's placement in the body of Christ. God doesn't want you to be a better worm - He wants you to be a butterfly.

The Body of Christ Pt.5
Date: May 4, 2003 Sun PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: God sets the members as it pleased Him - it doesn't matter if it pleases
you. You will not advance from the natural perspective - it's sovereign.
The Holy Spirit is the nervous system of the body of Christ. The body of
Christ is not Communistic - we don't all have the same office. Gifts
differing according to the grace. Honor one another. Are you doing all
you can do to contribute to the community? Everything you do that benefits
the body is serving the Lord. Prophesy - to speak forth - you need to be
mature. We are to be constantly holding the Word of God forth to one
another. Wait on your ministry - serve. You may not have the office of
deacon but you have the ministry of deacon - to make sure no needs go
unmet. The teacher is only the helper to the learner. Edify - Encourage -
Exhort.

The Body of Christ Pt.6
The Body of Christ Pt.6
Date: May 11, 2003 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: When the works done the fruit goes on for generations. Never resent the subordinate roll; it receives the higher honor. Our placement in the body is for the edification of the whole and not for the satisfaction of the individual. Increase of God is the will of God being experienced through the body. It takes faith to believe that perfection comes to us through imperfect vessels. Identify a need and ask can I meet that need? Is the act that you're involved in the expression of the love of God? Your gift is to make sure there is no schism and every need is met. You're the gift - not the talent that operates through you. Where has God place you to edify the body? The focus isn't on the members; it's on the body and the glory goes to the head. Taking care of people by the power of God for the glory of God. Your gift is from God if you're open to the impulse of love to the whole body equally. How do you know if you're a gift to the body? - Can you rejoice when others are getting the attention? Do you get jealous when someone else outshines your gift? Do you always have to be the center of attention? The gifts we experience are not permanent. We focus on the gift or the talent and not the purpose. The motivation is the expression of love.

The Body of Christ Pt.7
Date: May 11, 2003 Sun PM

Synopsis: It's not how many talents you've been given; it's how faithful you are to use them. Are you still just affecting the body to the degree that you always have? If you are producing to the full capacity more will be entrusted to you. Office of five-fold ministry is to make sure there is no schism in the body. We all have the capacity but not the responsibility. The five-fold gifts are to make sure all other gifts are working to their full capacity. Die to the desire to do your own thing. To remain in the community you have to remain under authority. Individuals don't set doctrine, the gifts do. Five-fold gifts are to bring us together and keep us from running our own way. God will direct you through the gifts He placed.

The devil's not out to get us; we're out to get the devil. Your vocation is Christian. We are called for His purposes. We've all received the same mandate to forsake all and follow Him. If you don't believe you won't see it. The kingdom of darkness always glorifies darkness. Don't look to provide for yourself. God will be your source. God is working by us - not us working for God. Willard could be used of God and hand it over to someone else. Faith is not a force. God will bring you to your end to be glorified in you. God can use us when we're empty. You can't die if God's purposes aren't fulfilled in you yet. God speaks from the end of things. It's not the failure of the moment - it's the life failure of not enduring to the end. Tear down evil thoughts with "It is written". All your strength you're using for God and God wants your weakness. Faith does not come by reading the Bible - it comes by obeying. You can't have faith in faith or you die. tests come following the greatest gains in our faith. Faith is not a force
separate from God; faith is an expression of the purpose of God. If you

When you fail He'll seek you. Peace comes when we're on the proper course with God. You haven't negated His goodness to you because of your own doubts and weaknesses. Synopsis: Apathy. Ease. Slumber. Attain. Excellence not adequate. Knowledge is not character. Our revelation is beyond our maturity. Enduring isn't as simple as we think it is and it's not guaranteed except to the obedient. If you're properly identifying with Jesus you'll be hated and mocked and laughed at. No static relationship in the kingdom of God. To do your own will is to deny the Lord. To have a treasure that is more to you than the pearl of great price is to deny the Lord. God's not going to talk to you if you don't do what He says. You don't have the same anointing on you that Peter did and he denied the Lord.

Strive For The Mastery Pt.2
Date: June 8, 2003 Sun PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Because of iniquity love will wax cold. We can't compare ourselves to anyone else. When we're moving in independence we're moving in unbelief. If you're going to be successful in the kingdom of God you're going to have to approach this like an Olympic athlete. Most of us don't have a clue of what we could really be if we pursued it with all our hearts. We're content with mediocrity. We don't have any right to be obsessed with anything but Jesus. We have no right to determine whether or not we want to be champions. We're all called to be the ultimate Christian. Not you becoming better at what you do, but Him becoming greater in you. You always have to run more. Are you getting stronger or weaker? If you are going to achieve the mastery, you must be in agony. Every morning I have an excuse not to do my devotions and I refuse not to take it. You have to purpose not to take the easy way. You must be temperate in all other things. If necessary abstain - the ultimate expression of temperance. Sober - be disciplined in your mind. If we're not constantly getting stronger we're getting weaker. If we're to acquire the mastery there must be agony in preparation and temperance in application. Be involved in kingdom pursuit.

Led By The Spirit Pt.2
Date: June 15, 2003 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Knowing the voice of God. If you're in right relationship with Father you can never be led astray. Be as dumb as sheep. Which voice dominates your thoughts? God will not show you from beginning to end in this walk of faith. Don't think you know what you're doing. We must initiate with God. We must draw nigh unto God first. We are so prideful we think that anything we imagine is the heart of God. We always want to find ease for our flesh to inject our will. We're looking for guidance in too many temporal situations. What should we seek God for? The kingdom first. The voice of God will always address your character - your relationship. You will never hear the voice of God if you can't first look in the mirror. The heart is deceitful - polluted - incurable. God's way will conflict with your way. You will always have the same tendencies you have today. Are we seeking God or using God. God resists those that think they know what they're doing. Primary requisite for hearing the voice of God is humility. Meekness of heart. The man who doesn't justify his sin can hear the voice of God.

Led By The Spirit Pt.3
Led By The Spirit Pt.3
Date: June 15, 2003 Sun PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Guidance is in knowing the heart of our Father. God speaks with the expectation that immediate obedience will follow. Faith does not deviate from the obvious obstacles. We're never going to have accurate guidance if we're double minded. Talking in tongues is not proof that you're still filled. The Holy Spirit does not speak of Himself - then why do we speak of ourselves? The Holy Spirit has no agenda - why do we have one? You're not moving in meekness until you've pulling down the works of Satan. You can only have everything by wanting nothing. Where I am is where God wants me. Don't get caught up praying about the circumstances. It will never be the will of God if it doesn't originate in the heart of God. You can only know what God is revealing to you at this moment. You won't know the whole picture. Do you know your heart enough to identify the idols?

Synopsis: We don't lack resources we lack leaders. Worship always dictates service.
It only becomes sin when it becomes idolatry. God needs nothing from us
but He demands our obedience. How much you love someone is in how much
you prefer them. We can only know our hearts through our obedience. It's

Return to individual obedience. Personal revival. Chose to lay down the idols and bow your knee. You don't get swept up in a revival; you dive in. Nothing you can do greater than to teach your children obedience to the Word of God.

Freedom to Serve
Freedom to Serve

Fear: The Highest Worship Pt.1
Fear: The Highest Worship Pt.1
Date: July 9, 2003 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: The message of the gospel is applicable in all situations. If there is no
respect for parents there is no respect for God. God will humble you if
you won't humble yourself. Perfect holiness. Holiness can not be
perfected without fear. I will not sin because I am not the servant to
sin. Why would we involve ourselves with the counterfeit when we have the
real thing? He's worthy of our subservient. Evil is anything that
doesn't proceed from God. We're not living for the moment, we're living
for the end. By the fear of God we depart from evil. The fear of God is
to hate the world's methods.
-
Fear: The Highest Worship Pt.2
Fear: The Highest Worship Pt.2
Date: July 13, 2003 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: You can't make God bigger than He is; you can only make Him bigger than
you. How you relate to the word is evidence of how you fear God. The
expression of our worship is in our praise. What good is reciting all the
Bible stories if they don't change your life? Are you humbled by who it
is that dwells in you? Fear of God is constantly contrasted with
idolatry. If the fear of God is not bringing peace, and clarity there are
idols in your life. I'm not better; I'm available. David was no
different that you. To fear God is to put your life on the line for Him.

In Everything Give Thanks Pt.1
Date: July 20, 2003 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Expressed humility. Making God big. Verbalizing the bigness of God. Are we fair weather worshipers? You have more than you deserve. What you have is because God is good. Thanksgiving is about making God big. What you're doing is not above and beyond; it's what's expected of you. Many of us that are Christians are not thankful. We think we deserve more. Thanksgiving comes from knowing God. Being aware of what He has done in your life and not thinking you deserve it. It's insane to be depressed today over the things you don't have. Is the thank you coming from your mouth originating in your heart?

In Everything Give Thanks Pt.2
Date: July 20, 2003 Sun PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Unprofitable servants. Is He sufficient? You can't be thankful if you're discontent. Ingratitude is the fruit of deception. When what you have is spiritually induced its for the glory of God. If its natural it will kill you.

Only Believe
Only Believe
Date: July 23, 2003 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: What you believe you didn't come up with; God chose for you. You can't come if you're not drawn. Some of your kids won't accept. Are you going to blame yourself? The focus isn't on those who don't believe but on those who do. What you have cost Him everything and it will cost you everything. Believing is more than acknowledging. The cheap believe-ism of the church today is killing it. People will come to Jesus en masse for the wrong reasons. There's a purpose for everything that God's doing in your life. When things look like they're going good - get alone and pray. Are we looking to comprehend or are we looking to apprehend. Most people are coming to Jesus to get something from Him.

Look Up Pt.1
Date: July 27, 2003 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Coming of the Lord. Are you as concerned about your spirit man and
preparing for service as you are about what you're going to wear? If you
are not adorned in the robe of righteousness you are naked. The one who
is the least taken up with the temporal is the greatest. The true
servant's heart. Is your life balanced? Totally set apart for God's
service is balanced. The Lord is at hand. What are you doing to be
around the people who will put the light on you? We live in Disneyland
compared to the billions of people who live on this planet. Redeem the
time. Get hooked up with people who will get your cleaned up.

Look Up Pt.2
Date: July 27, 2003 Sun PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: One out of every 25 verses speaks of the coming of the Lord. How we relate to Him in eternity is going to be based on how we relate to Him today. Every man will be rewarded according to the work of choosing against your own will. When life is too easy and you're tended to you're not motivated. How much effort has been put in to glorify the Lord? You don't ever want justice. There is a day of reckoning. Everything that happens to you is to humble you and cause you to trust the Lord. The reward is not in how much we're done but in how much remains. The Day of the Lord.

Date: July 30, 2003 Wed PM

Synopsis: Is your life and your ministry approved of God? Everything we do is to please Him who called us. Study - to pour yourself out in the endeavor. Not ashamed. Rightly divide - cut a straight path. Without compromise. Approach the Word already guilty and let God forgive you. The lying to get out of trouble is worse than the trouble. Look at the call on your life. What does God want me to do to affect the people in my life? What is the purpose of my life?

Walking In The Light Pt.1
Date: August 6, 2003 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Richard Miller
Synopsis: God does not posses light-He is light. Because there is no darkness in God there can be no darkness in you. God is the light that exposes all. We don't come to the light because we prefer darkness or we're afraid of rejection. God is the source of all life. If you're going to have a relationship with God you can hold nothing back. True children of God are children of light. You don't have to be perfect or sinless - but you can't be in the dark. There can't be any darkness or secrets with you. If you aren't fully surrendered to God you won't be fully surrendered in your relationships. It is impossible for us to accurately see ourselves. God exposes me to love me. You don't know yourself. We judge ourselves by performance. God is taken up by who is the source of your life. Embrace the test as your friend because it reveals to you who and what you are.

Walking In The Light Pt.2
Date: August 10, 2003 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Richard Miller
Synopsis: If you don't have a relationship with brothers and sisters you don't have a relationship with the Lord. The light and loving your brother are synonymous. The light exposes us. We are afraid of rejection. You know what you are. When you know the love of God you won't be afraid of rejection. We hide behind false impressions. Absolute surrender. You can find another church but where are you going to find another community. If you can just get up and walk away from that person next to you there's something wrong with you. Our commitment to the Lord is only as great as our commitment to one another.

Synopsis: A three-year old will just run their hands under the water, making it appear to be clean, but does not really do a thorough job. Distraction By Attraction Pt.2
Distraction By Attraction Pt.2
Date: August 24, 2003 Sun PM
Teacher: Pastor Jeff Heglund
Synopsis: The enemy is satisfied when believers are distracted and the fruit can be
choked out. The signs of distraction and ways of staying free were
reviewed from Part 1 of the teaching. Some other aspects of how to stay
free were developed. Don't be weary in doing good. A three-part
magnify/mortify/simplify approach was developed from A.W. Tozer.
Magnifying can be practical done by reading books by "gifted magnifiers,"
going on missions trips and meditation on the Word of God. Mortifying our
flesh is done through choices, such as prayer when your flesh really
doesn't want to. Simplifying involves ways of keeping your heart
undistracted and uncomplicated by loving the Lord with all your heart.

Living Sacrifices Pt.1
Living Sacrifices Pt.1
Date: August 31, 2003 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Richard Miller
Synopsis: The Romans 12 living sacrifice is in context of offering up your body a
living sacrifice for service to other brothers and sisters. Gratitude and
thankfulness are the proper motives for service. Each member of the body
has received grace to perform a task and is responsible to find out what
that is and use it for the glory of God.
-
Living Sacrifices Pt.2
Living Sacrifices Pt.2
Date: August 31, 2003 Sun PM
Teacher: Pastor Richard Miller
Synopsis: We are knit together into a body of believers, and each of us have gifts
that differ. We need to come to grips with who we are without God and
realize the grace that flows and operates in us when we are thankful. The
task is not the issue, but the Lord who is being served by it. The servant
is the one who naturally serves and seeks to devote himself or herself to
God's use. Preparation and being refilled in the Lord's presence are some
avenues by which we sow into one another's lives.

Synopsis: Humility is the expression of dependence upon God. Walking in the spirit

position is servant.

The Greatest Among Us Pt.2
The Greatest Among Us Pt.2
Date: September 7, 2003 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Pride can destroy the unity of the church. The root of all evil is pride:
the vaunting of one's self, taking credit for anything good. Humility is
realizing that all we do without God is a mess. Pride assumes we are
deserving, whereas humility recognizes being an unprofitable servant and is
grateful for the free gift. Some dangers of pride are being compelled to
make yourself known, unable to rejoice in other's being blessed, and unable
to hear godly counsel from others.

Magnifying Christ Pt.3
Date: September 10, 2003 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Chuck LaRock
Synopsis: What we treasure in life is what we put value upon. Abiding in Christ is
an awareness of being with Him and being mindful of His presence at all
times. Delighting in the will of God is a big part of abiding, and
submitting to God's providential will. Our service (1 Peter 4:9-11) is

Synopsis: Are you content with natural means or with what Jesus' presence brings?
Satan's temptations are to make us momentary independent from God.
Spiritual pride is dangerous because it can be in Christian discipline but
the wrong motive. Not thinking you know everything and being able to hear
counsel are safety against pride.

The Light of the World Pt.1
Date: September 17, 2003 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Are you a witness or a witnesser? Being a witness is more than just
passing out tracts or talking about the gospel, but being filled with the
Spirit (Acts 1:8) and moving in supernatural boldness. John 15:18-27 shows
us the opposition and hatred that we can expect to be a true witness of
Jesus Christ. How prayerful have we been to be used up to share the Good News?

Synopsis: We are Christ's representatives and His ambassadors. Do we have God's
compassion for sinners, or contempt? We should see witnessing as a

forever. Pray to have a compassion as Paul expressed in Romans 9 and 10,
even willing to be damned for his kinsmen.

Synopsis: All of our satisfaction is to be found in Jesus. The closer we get to God,
the more wretched we will be in our own sight. God is much better than we

we're going to have to deny the self life, willing to give up temporal

How Great Is The Darkness Pt.1
How Great Is The Darkness Pt.1
Date: October 8, 2003 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Self-deception is one of our greatest dangers, which makes it
important how
to recognize the signs of deception. The first phase is
thinking more
highly of yourself than you ought to think (Rom. 12:3).
Another sign is
calling yourself a Christian but living for yourself. Knowing
how the
propensity of sin in our members and Satan's tactics will guard
us against
deception.
-
How Great Is The Darkness Pt.2
How Great Is The Darkness Pt.2
Date: October 12, 2003 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Deception has its roots in a false image of who God is. The
exalting of
man's wisdom over God's wisdom leads to deception, as well as
thinking you
are the exception. Being in intimacy with God, in the light,
and willing
to hear truth from anyone are some of the safeguards from being
deceived.
-
How Great Is The Darkness Pt.3
How Great Is The Darkness Pt.3
Date: October 12, 2003 Sun PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: The heart of man is deceitful and thinks God changes based upon
circumstances. Making absolute decisions based upon the Word
of God keeps
us safe from deception. We need to recognize areas of
compromise and
worldly thinking and change. Living an uncompromised life,
like Daniel,
will cause a lot of sparks to fly!

Satellite Pastors Panel
Date: October 15, 2003 Wed PM
Teacher: Satellite Pastors
Synopsis: One of the major topics of discussion for this pastor's conference was the
about worship. True worship is God-centered, as opposed to much of what is
passed off as worship in professed Christendom. Various pastors commented
about how songs play a role in our worship, getting revelation of Father
and hearing His voice.
-
How Great Is The Darkness Pt.4
How Great Is The Darkness Pt.4
Date: October 19, 2003 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Deception begins when our eyes stray from the spiritual
treasures to
earthly ones. We will either serve God or we will serve
mammon, which is
not only money but increase from the world's perspective
(power, prestige,
human excellence). Matthew 6 speaks towards laying up
treasures in heaven
which will protect us. The single eye is one focused upon the
things that
God treasures.
-
How Great Is The Darkness Pt.5
How Great Is The Darkness Pt.5
Date: October 19, 2003 Sun PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: The single eye is not only focus but the inward desire which
goes beyond
spiritual disciplines. The evil eye by contrast always has
self as the
ulterior motive. The single eye takes the Word of God as
absolute truth in
application to daily living. If our treasure really is the
Word of God, we
will be seeing that by how much time we spend in His presence
getting to
know Him.
-
How Great Is The Darkness Pt.6
How Great Is The Darkness Pt.6
Date: October 22, 2003 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: A primary source of deception in our lives is by being double-
minded (James
1:8), which speaks toward our souls being fed by two sources -
God and the
world. 1 Corinthians 1 and 2 speak toward the opposition
brought by
adhering to natural wisdom. James 1:19 goes on to show how
speaking too
much brings on deception, along with getting angry with people
who want to
bring us reproof. Developing a meek spirit (teachable) is key
to staying
free from deception. The meek spirit is one that allows the
Word of God to
judge it, hungering and thirsting for more understanding of the
wickedness
that is in our members.
-
How Great Is The Darkness Pt.7
How Great Is The Darkness Pt.7
Date: October 26, 2003 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Deception has much to do with having a wrong perception of
ourselves. We have to look at what we are actually doing, not
what we are intending. We must do something in the right
direction, and start off with little areas that we can do as
opposed to having grand ideas about obeying God that never get
put into action. Hearing counsel from others and hearing God
speak to use can free us from these false images we hold onto.
James 1:19-27 show some more vital principle of staying free
from
deception.

How Great Is The Darkness Pt.9
How Great Is The Darkness Pt.9
Date: October 29, 2003 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Hosea speaks to the time of breaking up the fallow ground, the
crusted over areas of our hearts that once produced fruit for
God. We cannot remain comfortable about not doing and give God
our hearts and change. Our choice to live holy will draw
persecution on us and the world will constantly vex us. Digging
into the Word of God is likened in Jesus' parable as digging
into rock. The proper zeal of getting into God's Word will
produce a more obedient life than ever.

How Great Is The Darkness Pt.10
How Great Is The Darkness Pt.10
Date: November 2, 2003 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Our thought life is a major area which is susceptible to
deception. Thinking of ourselves more often that we ought and
not thinking that we're that bad are some thought patterns that
get us into trouble. To walk in the light is to stop making
excuses for ourselves and for our loved ones and actively seek
for more illumination. A good conscience and a bridled tongue
combined with service to others will serve to keep deception
away.
-
How Great Is The Darkness Pt.11
How Great Is The Darkness Pt.11
Date: November 2, 2003 Sun PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Deception derives from an overconfidence in ourselves and not
seeing ourselves as "the chief of sinners." Romans 1 shows that
unthankfulness and being creature-oriented are big areas that
allow deception to creep in. If Eve could be deceived in a
perfect environment, how much more ought we to be on guard in
the sinful world in which we live?

Worthy of Worship Pt.1
Worthy of Worship Pt.1
Date: November 12, 2003 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Is God worthy of our worship, and, is our worship (or reverence)
worthy of our God? That worth put upon God can been observed in
our lives by the effort we take to prepare to worship and obey
Him. Our worship is not based upon what He gives us but because
He is worthy.
-
Worthy of Worship Pt.2
Worthy of Worship Pt.2
Date: November 16, 2003 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Do we have true spiritual worship or what is fast becoming
popular today, the "worship experience"? The worship experience
is man-centered, giving a temporary calm and is addictive to the
soul. True worship requires esteem and reverence to God,
preceded by much preparation and biblical order. Our motives
play an extremely important role in acceptable worship.
-
Worthy of Worship Pt.3
Worthy of Worship Pt.3
Date: November 16, 2003 Sun PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Worship comes from a recognition of God being the source of our
salvation (Jn. 4:22, Rev. 7:9-10). Worship is bragging on God in
praise, thanksgiving and service. Music is an important part of
worship but needs to be in right priority. Dealing with areas of
sin in our lives and attention to the Word of God come before songs.
-
Worthy of Worship Pt.4
Worthy of Worship Pt.4
Date: November 19, 2003 Wed PM

Synopsis: Worship expresses itself in recognition of Who God is and being
aware of His presence. Our worship should not be based upon
getting pumped up by others or certain styles of music. Can you
worship God freely with one of the Wesley hymns from generations
ago? Genuine worship focuses on the Word of God and the "beauty
of holiness."
-
Worthy of Worship Pt.5
Worthy of Worship Pt.5
Date: November 23, 2003 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Worship must be pure worship. Some examples of pure worship
include communing with His Spirit, being used in the gifts of the
Spirit and giving reverence to the Word of God. Worship is a
desire to be in God's presence and is not dependent upon
favorable circumstances. Worship sees itself beyond you to a
strong community of believers and raising up a godly seed.

Worthy of Worship Pt.7
Date: November 30, 2003 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: The prime ingredient of worship is who God is. We need to be
more thankful for the Giver than the gifts that He gives. We are
more aware of Him because of what He does for us, and we need to
be aware of Him for who He is. Col. 3:15 and Col 1:12 speak
toward the thankfulness we should have for being part of the Body
of Christ.

Worthy of Worship Pt.8
Worthy of Worship Pt.8
Date: November 30, 2003 Sun PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: We can lose our thankfulness to God if salvation becomes common
to us or we fail to appreciate the goodness of God. Our
sufficiency must be totally in God and satisfaction in praising
Him. Psalm 51 speaks toward having genuine repentance and
realizing that it cost God the Treasure in heaven to be
reconciled. Are you asking Him to make you a better worshipper,
such as being used in the gifts of the Spirit?

Synopsis: We can never glorify God properly if we're wanting glory for
ourselves. Love is not an emotion; it's a person. Agape love
cares for and seeks the good of another person without motive
of personal gain. Love seeks the highest good. Love is never
man oriented. Love not what feels better - but what is truly
needed. So much of what we do that we call love is for
personal gain. Agape is a debtor's love. His love for us is
not based on our merit. Love is always patient towards
brothers and sisters. Love allows us to endure trials.
