Honor To Whom Honor
Honor To Whom Honor
Date: January 5, 2005 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: We are living in a society that is absolutely after one thing,
and that is compromise. In the kingdom of God, participation is
not enough. We are responsible to obey the laws until there is a
conflict with the propagation of the gospel, until the nation
begins to ask us to honor them more than God. We are living in a
day when tolerance, blatant denial of God, and mockery of the
Word of God are being accepted. What are you going to do when
this denial comes to you from the power? We as a people are being
vexed continually. Truth doesn't make anybody free that doesn't
know it, that doesn't live for it, that doesn't have it working
in them, and that isn't a "doer of the word". The way to go to
hell is to cower down to the world. Jesus deserves His honor.
His name deserves to be spoken.

The Comforter Pt.1
The Comforter Pt.1
Date: January 9, 2005 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: It's nothing but religion without the presence of God. That's
all you need to get by: to know what Jesus said. This great
unitary God lives inside of us. The Holy Spirit can be grieved.
He is conscience and cognizant and communicative with us. He is
present and He is active in our lives. Many of us confuse our
own voice with that of the Holy Spirit. You will not receive
specific guidance until you're moving in general obedience.
Though the Holy Spirit indwells us at regeneration, the Holy
Spirit enables us, and the Holy Spirit renews us, and the Holy
Spirit empowers us, in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, which is a
distinct subsequent work to regeneration. One of the things the
Holy Spirit does is create in you the ability to worship. There
has to be gifts in evidence. There has to be ministry of power.
Any voice which is the Spirit coming up in you is about Jesus,
not about you. The Holy Spirit will reveal your motives.
-
The Comforter Pt.2
The Comforter Pt.2
Date: January 9, 2005 Sun PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Unless the Spirit is increasing in control of your life, then
you're losing this race that we're in. The person of the Holy
Spirit manifests Himself for the sole purpose of glorifying
Father in the name of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is a free
gift; it's to everyone that believes. Being filled with the Holy
Spirit is not just to preach the gospel, but to live the gospel.
We're asking the Father; Jesus is doing the baptizing. There's
no purer praise than a man that's praying under the unction of
the Holy Ghost. When you're praying in the spirit, when the Holy
Ghost is praying through you in other tongues, you are always
praying the will of God, the mind of God. We don't know what to
pray for! We do the speaking; the Spirit is the source.
-
The Comforter Pt.3
The Comforter Pt.3
Date: January 12, 2005 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: The Holy Spirit will empower you. It's about divine order. The
Spirit will always lead us into the fruit of the Spirit. If
you're not filled with the Holy Spirit you're at a real handicap.
The Spirit is offensive to the flesh. There are a lot of
skilled false prophets out there. Are we going to hear the voice
of God and obey? That voice never promotes self; it's always
about Jesus. God wants to use you. Supernaturally being used to
build the body of Christ. Any time you hear the voice of the
Spirit it will be something that Jesus has already dealt with.
Coveting the Gifts of the Spirit. Ready to be used. Quench not
the Spirit.

Change
Change
Date: January 16, 2005 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Chuck LaRock
Synopsis: Most of our works are going to be fruit of a changed life. Are
we content just having the intention to change? Faith is not
supposed to be by itself. It should always have a companion -
works. If we trust Him, why are we worried and anxious? Why are
we frustrated? Change the way we think. Always being frustrated
is not the fruit of communion. Be content knowing we have the
Lord. As great as He is we ought to be seeking Him. We don't
always forsake our wickedness. We just put it away for a while.
-
The Comforter Pt.4
The Comforter Pt.4
Date: January 16, 2005 Sun PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Our generation needs a visitation. We have to pursue the
visitation. Are you doing the last thing the Holy Spirit told
you to do? The Holy Spirit will always emphasize Jesus and not
you. It's not about you. It's about you becoming part of the
whole body of Christ. God is not glorified by people hearing
about what He has done. God is glorified by people appreciating
what He has done. Gifts of the Spirit. All gifts are about the
body.
-
The Comforter Pt.5
The Comforter Pt.5
Date: January 19, 2005 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: These spiritual gifts aren't a badge for you to wear; they're a
tool to build the body of Christ. The gifts are not a way to
measure spirituality. The gifts are an ability to humble
ourselves and become servants of all, and to serve. The gifts are
functional. The more you speak in tongues, the more you're
getting built up. The only time that prophesy is better than
tongues is if tongues is not interpreted. The purpose of all the
gifts is to edify. It's not about making you great, it's about
making God great.

Training and Discipleship Pt.1
Training and Discipleship Pt.1
Date: January 23, 2005 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Chuck LaRock
Synopsis: Paul was willing to depart his own lives. We must have a heart
for those that we are discipling. We should not begrudge God's
will for our lives. We should live exemplary lives. Walk in the
glorious calling of discipleship. Paul let his disciples know
trouble coming in advance. We as parents need to anticipate and
instruct. It is important to realize that this task is hard and
you can't do it. Give instruction on how to walk and please God.
Inspire to excel still more. As disciples and Christians we are
always reaching to do better. We need to encourage in what they
have accomplished. Train them in the way that they should go.
Training involves establishing a regiment. Train them to spend
time with the Lord every day. Kids look up to and have heroes.
We pursue what we perceive to be valuable. If I don't love
anything together with Him for his sake, I don't love him enough.
Everything in my life should begin and end with God. Its Gods
love for us that causes Him to reveal himself to us. Don't just
be a lecture, be a pattern. We are called to lecture, but so
much more. I need to obtain this heart and then transfer it to
my children. We should speak about the word naturally because it
is on our heart. What God did to save us is important, but what
has he done since then. Communicate that to the children.
-
Training and Discipleship Pt.2
Training and Discipleship Pt.2
Date: January 23, 2005 Sun PM
Teacher: Pastor Chuck LaRock
Synopsis: Your kids should hear you boast in God. When you love something,
you talk about it. Body members are to be built up. Role
models. Temper your opinions. Tell them about your
opportunities to witness. Authority is to be consistent.
Practical ways of raising kids. Yelling indicates that you're
out of control. Discipline is for the good of the child and the
glory of God.

Overcoming Temptation Pt.1
Overcoming Temptation Pt.1
Date: January 26, 2005 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Richard Miller
Synopsis: What Satan meant to destroy you God will use to purify you. The
temptation will lose its power over you because of Spiritual
growth. Way of escape is to ask for wisdom. If you are wise you
will learn from the temptation. There's pain involved in
temptation. How is my communion with the Word of God? How is my
communion with Father? Has there been a lack of carefulness on
my part? What are my weaknesses? The Word can bring you back to
purity. God will satisfy your soul. Identify your corner.
Vexation wears you down. Prepare yourself for the next battle
because it's coming again. Covering sin is giving strength.
-
Overcoming Temptation Pt.2
Overcoming Temptation Pt.2
Date: January 30, 2005 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Richard Miller
Synopsis: There are areas you have to guard against. Abstain. Don't let
the fleshly lust even get started. You don't get victory over
the temptation by fighting the temptation; you get it by denying
the temptation. Identify the areas. When Satan comes to destroy
you through temptation, he doesn't announce it. He is subtle.
Battles of the flesh and mind. You can blind yourself to the
light of the gospel by your choices. Progression of sin. If you
don't master sin it will master you. There is a strategy to sin.
Every choice you make for sin gives it more power. You know
you're being vexed when the things of the world are very
appealing to you. It always comes down to choices.
-
Overcoming Temptation Pt.3
Overcoming Temptation Pt.3
Date: January 30, 2005 Sun PM
Teacher: Pastor Richard Miller
Synopsis: The addiction grows from the power of your mind. Temptation is
systematic through our choices. You will defame your heavenly
Father through the shame sin brings to your life. The fear of
the Lord is your greatest deterrent from sin. The power of sin
so dulls your senses that it causes you to linger under the
judgment of God. The power of sin makes you blind and insane.
You're under the power of temptation when you count the earthly
treasures as better than God. Warning signs. The way out.
you're still flirting with it if you aren't angry with it.

The Cross Pt.1
The Cross Pt.1
Date: February 6, 2005 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: The cross is the symbol of the true believer. Personal cross -
your daily choice to die. Finding ways to die to ourselves more
completely. Self denial has nothing to do with works; it's about
preparation. There's nothing joyous about the moment of self
denial. Every one of us is selfish and a rebel. Jesus' death
requires your death. How recognizable is your separation from
the world? The cross is a matter of your will. It won't be
forced on you. You go to the cross; it doesn't come to you.
Your flesh is not going to change. It will always want more.
-
The Cross Pt.2
The Cross Pt.2
Date: February 6, 2005 Sun PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Daily goal to get crucified. The old man is not the stronger
force by choosing righteousness. It's a choice. Don't even give
the flesh the chance. The mirror of the Word will cause you to
stay on your diet. To honor God I choose to kill self. It's a
matter of obeying God - not controlling your life. Become of no
reputation. We know the doctrine but we don't walk the walk.
Servants choose against self whenever it's an issue. God will
chasten us but we have to humble ourselves. We are not what we
think we are. Humility is the ability to see ourselves as we
truly are. You'll never get a glimpse of yourself until you're
on the cross. If you're striving to die for the purpose of being
exalted you're not dead. You remain on the cross forever. The
cross is about Lordship. The flesh can't do what it wants to
when we choose to honor the Spirit. The choice is who to
worship. For Jesus to be Lord you have to die with Him.
Embracing the cross costs you everything.
-
The Cross Pt.3
The Cross Pt.3
Date: February 9, 2005 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: The cross is the emblem of suffering and shame. If the world
likes it we ought to hate it. We have a crossless Christianity.
The cross is about becoming more like Jesus. The cross is a
choice; you have to embrace it. Is my life being spent in what
God wants it to be? What has God called you to do and are you
doing it? Choosing less so we can do more for the eternal.
We're being destroyed through our prosperity and self indulgence.
All of the world is selfishness.
-
The Cross Pt.4
The Cross Pt.4
Date: February 13, 2005 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: If we're going to know the power of His resurrection we need to
know the pain of His sufferings. We are called to a lifetime of
horrible death. Bowing your knee will never be easy. Count the
cost. The world always speaks of individuals being lords of
themselves. Being crucified to self-exaltation and ego. The
self-exaltation is not always done consciously. Sometimes it's
just who you are. Whatever I'm doing without has to make me more
like Jesus. It's a lifetime of habitual choices to die. The
cross is purposeful destruction of ego and self. There's a cross
and a throne in each one of our lives; which one are you on? We
make things that are temporary have more value than they do.
They are to be used up. Little foxes - many of the things you
say yes to yourself about - say no. New value system.
-
Panel Discussion
Panel Discussion
Date: February 13, 2005 Sun PM
Teacher: Pastoral Staff
Synopsis: The cross is not hardship; it's Lordship. God chastens us so He
can put us on the cross. The key is discipline. Our children
don't know denial. The cross is unlovely but it is to be
cherished and pursued. The cross isn't where were finished.
It's the place of resurrection power.
-
The Cross Pt.6
The Cross Pt.6
Date: February 20, 2005 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: When we are talking about the cross, we are talking about the
heart of God. Because men who go to the cross living are truly
dead men, and men who die on the cross take their lives up again.
To embrace the cross is to become so absolutist, so separate, so
unique, so distinct, and so isolated that everybody else hates us
because we absolutely believe this is infallible. The denying of
self is the denying of self-confidence. Dying daily is the
constant choice of obedience to the heart of God. The seeker
friendly message which is building all of the big churches of
today is the enemy of the cross: it's another gospel. Jesus'
life was a life lived identifying with the cross. We're not
working for heaven; we're guaranteed heaven if we stay dead to
self. The man who has been to the cross never sees others' sins
critically, but tragically. The secret of sanctification is a
force called reckoning. Reckoning is the ability to see the
finished work as God sees it. Conforming to the death of Christ
is the conscious awareness of the lack of ambition.
-
The Cross Pt.7
The Cross Pt.7
Date: February 20, 2005 Sun PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: It's not about dying, it's about living--but you have to die to
live. There's only one way that you can know this power of God,
and that's to be able to be conformable to His death. To be
crucified with Him is to live with Him. The spiritual man is the
one that reckons himself dead in Jesus Christ, and alive in
resurrection power, and confident that the Spirit of God is
ordering our steps leading us into all truth. To reckon means to
put to your account the fact that sin is no longer dominant in
your life. God's purpose is for your victory. God is not
keeping score, you're not judged. You can't pray enough to get
healed. What's going to get you healed is to reckon to your
account that by the stripes of Jesus you are healed. It's not by
works, it's by faith. It's by the acknowledging of a victory won.
No scorekeeping, no longer judged by effort, by accomplishments
or failures, but by reckoning of the declared righteousness
that's been put to our account.
-
Walk, Sit, Stand Pt.1
Walk, Sit, Stand Pt.1
Date: February 23, 2005 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Principles of temperate living. Don't get in a hurry; don't get
discouraged. Regardless of what you hear tomorrow, you'll never
be finished. We judge ourselves by ourselves. We need one
another. Be very careful about who you pick to hang out with.
Where are you hanging out? What are you doing? Abstinence isn't
enough. We must pursue righteousness. Its every day
disciplining ourselves to do the little things. Conscious
decisions and preparation to abstain from what you prefer to the
good of somebody else. Evilness is self will - self exaltation.
Begin with something you can do and make it a habit. Lifestyle
changes take time. The reason we're not more proficient
spiritually is because we don't want to be.
-
Walk, Sit, Stand Pt.2
Walk, Sit, Stand Pt.2
Date: February 27, 2005 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: The world is anything that exalts itself above God. Apparent
good can be evil. We will always be in opposition to the
majority. We need temperance, discipline and a re-directing of
our priorities and values to the heavenly. Overconfidence,
idleness and wrong companionship. Cloud of witnesses. This race
is a marathon - not a sprint. Run with patience. It's not
acceptable to coast. There need to be a consistent continual
effort being made. Am I improving? Preparing myself constantly.
Push yourself. If you die in faith you're a success. What is
hindering me from consistent growth? Lay aside every weight.
Sin is not just doing evil, its also not doing good. Don't start
by looking at what you can stop - begin walking in the Spirit.
What does God have to say about our schedule?

Confession and Forgiveness Pt.1
Confession and Forgiveness Pt.1
Date: March 9, 2005 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Richard Miller
Synopsis: How long can you go without God's presence? God expects an
apology; He expects a confession. The Pharisee focused on what he
did; the publican focused on what he was. Confessing sins is
like praise and worship - we need it more than God needs it.
God considers it deceit when you don't confess your sins. God
doesn't see the sin; He sees the heart in pursuit of
righteousness. The Godly man is the one who makes everything in
life stop until he is back in right relationship with Father.
Forgiveness is by mercy. When was the last time you confessed
your sins knowing He's under no obligation to forgive you this
time? Don't ask for the forgiveness if you're not also asking
for the deliverance.
-
Confession and Forgiveness Pt.2
Confession and Forgiveness Pt.2
Date: March 13, 2005 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Richard Miller
Synopsis: The chastening is for your eternal good. Throughly wash me over
and over. We mistake the sin in our heart for the sin in our
members. The sin in our heart has to go. There must be a
cleansing of the heart. Forgiveness and cleansing are always
together. God is the standard we live by. Godly sorrow has one
source - I have broken the heart of my Father. Repenting people
are desperate people. You see what is in you that caused the
action. We often have to be brought to the end of ourselves.
How much of your repentance is your work? It's ridiculous to
think that you can do something to purify your own heart. God's
part is the purifying. Our part is communing with God. Unbelief
takes us out of God's rest. The Word of God operating in you is
your only hope of freedom.
-
Is the Lord my Shepherd?
Is the Lord my Shepherd?
Date: March 13, 2005 Sun PM
Teacher: Pastor Steve Gardner
Synopsis: Psalm 23. Sheep. Shepherd. If the shepherd is not in control
of his sheep, he takes them out. Even if you're a sheep leading
other sheep, you're still not the shepherd. Sheep had to be free
of fear to lie down and rest. They had to be free from friction
in the fold. Free from pests and hunger.

The Ministry of the Word
The Ministry of the Word
Date: March 16, 2005 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Richard Miller
Synopsis: The vexation is intelligent. Supernatural infusion of life. God
longs to reveal Himself to you. Without the Spirit of truth you
would have no understanding of the Word. The old covenant was
the letter. Make sure your heart stays surrendered to the Lord.
You don't have a communion with the Word of God until you hear
the Lord speaking to you thorough the text. Our job is to
continue. Destruction and death come from neglect. Become
enraptured with the Spirit of Life. What is the focus of your
heart? Your thought life guides your perceptions. The weapon
pulls down the stronghold; not you. Let the Word extinguish the
fiery darts. The Word brings us into rest. Your only job is to
stay on the altar. The Word will set everything in order.
-
The 23rd Psalm
The 23rd Psalm
Date: March 20, 2005 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: God has a plan for your life. God will always bring you back to
the course that He has for your life. The way we respond to that
look indicates the degree of our love and respect and honor for
His lordship. How are you dealing at this time with where God
has you in life? You'll bring more glory to God in
fellowshipping with Him than you will working for Him. He will
not withhold anything that's good for you.
-
The 23rd Psalm Pt.2
The 23rd Psalm Pt.2
Date: March 20, 2005 Sun PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: The Shepherd is not leading us into a life that's trouble free.
We choose to be weak. It's not about physical healing; it's
about the secret place and the glory of God. Everything in our
life is trying to rob the glory of God from us. Trust in His
presence. Overshadowed by the presence of God. There are no
green pastures in the valley of the shadow death. Prepare now.
Living separate supernaturally.

Bread of Idleness
Bread of Idleness
Date: March 23, 2005 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Bread of Idleness. Lack of pursuing Spiritual things in our
generation. Sodomites are privileged and protected. When the
mind is not pursuing God it will be taken over by wickedness.
Inventing evil. You're either pursuing God or going backwards.
There is no satisfaction in abundance. We're being "blessed" out
of our blessings. How busy are you with idleness? Idleness is
putting more value on the temporal than the eternal. Idleness is
taking too much energy on yourself. Lack of productivity for the
eternal. What are you doing for the eternal? Everything else is
idleness. We experience the abundance of God and forget where it
came from. It's in our trust in Him that He's glorified. It's
sin to look for gratification outside of God. Fashion, vocation,
recreation is all idolatry. Don't allow yourself to step into
the neutral. We're in danger if we're not pursuing perfection.
-
He Is Risen
He Is Risen
Date: March 27, 2005 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: God is infinitely merciful and His infinite mercy never
contradicts with His infinite justice. Not a message of life but
a message of death to self. Jesus came to die. There were no
surprises if you knew the gospel. The Holy God had your sin put
upon Him. Easter is not just about Jesus coming out of the tomb.
Easter is about Jesus coming back. It's not over. Being
willing to become part of the whole. If Christ is not risen our
faith is in vain.
-
What in the World!
What in the World!
Date: March 27, 2005 Sun PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Boasting in nothing but the cross. You have rights to be
everything in America but a Christian. What attracts you to the
world? Our failure to bring them the cross endorses their
behavior. Using the world but not abusing it. When you give the
world the same credibility as the Spirit you're abusing it. Are
we going to be content with information about the bible or are we
going to live it? We abuse it by accepting what they tell us as
truth. The whole world's system is a continuous infomercial.
It's lust if when given the opportunity you'd take it. We're
just caught between the battle of two kingdoms. They hate you
and they hate the Jesus that died for you. He destroys the
majority by wrapping the world in religion.

Practicing Patience Pt.1
Practicing Patience Pt.1
Date: March 30, 2005 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Trusting God. Regardless of what things look like now you're in
jeopardy. Are we conscious of the war that we're in? Dung is
everything you used to trust in. The closer we draw to Him and
the more we know Him the greater we see the mess we're in. You
know things are going right if you're still pressing forward with
all your might. Practicing patience to the end. Stay in the
fire. Internally start believing God for the provision.
Patience isn't just endurance; it's consistence. Patiently
endure the death process.

Practicing Patience Pt.2
Practicing Patience Pt.2
Date: April 3, 2005 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: How constant are we in our belief? Everyone is under the power
of tolerance except the extreme fundamentalists. Jesus, if not
accepted, stumbles all men. Happy are they which endure. We
need to discipline ourselves. Listen to who's being glorified.
You need to study daily to not be deceived. We're being called
to abide in the truth and be consistent in our beliefs. Running
to and fro - purposeless busyness. When you compromise doctrine
in one place you have to compromise it everywhere. Humility is
obeying God instead of man. Forbearance is enduring others
maturation process and frailties. Steadfastness. Immovable.
You hold your ground to have a goal and be unmovable.
-
Practicing Patience Pt.3
Practicing Patience Pt.3
Date: April 3, 2005 Sun PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: The patience is in attaining the will of God. Don't get
distracted by the "will of God" that's anywhere outside of your
personal sanctification. Have you finished what God told you to
do last? Lack of patience is a lack of trust. What's taking
place in your life right now is for an eternal purpose. We put
God on a schedule. We're trying to press eternity into time and
space. Proclaim God's goodness. Are you going to be able to let
God fight for you? The adversities of life are the challenges to
whether we believe in God's love for us or not. We boast in the
glory of God in the midst of tribulation. If I'm frustrated than
what I'm involved in is temporal. When we're in faith there is
rest. Your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

Rest That Remains Pt.1
Rest That Remains Pt.1
Date: April 6, 2005 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: The greatest way to understand whether you're in faith or not,
whether you're walking in the supernatural or not, is whether or
not you're walking free from fear, anxiety. If our soul isn't at
rest, we're not yoked with Jesus. Every time you come into the
presence of God, He heals your mind, He calms your heart, He
builds your faith. Have you been coming to prayer, or have you
been encountering Father? There's no fear of men's faces to
those of us that have the yoke of Jesus upon us. Anxiousness
keeps you from hearing the voice of God. As long as you're
anxious, as long as you're stressed, you can't be in faith.
-
Rest That Remains Pt.2
Rest That Remains Pt.2
Date: April 10, 2005 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Fear can cause you to become paralyzed or supernaturally strong.
You'll have peace contrary to circumstances. He doesn't want
you to draw your peace from your environment he wants you to draw
it from His presence. If there's no peace you are not yoked up
with Jesus. How easy are you coping with circumstances right
now? That shows how yoked up you are. The Lord will give
strength to believe in His presence. The moment I'm free from
having to do it in my own strength I'm at rest. Worry takes a
lot of energy. You can worry so much that your body doesn't
work. We're living so far below where He wants us. How many
things do you do each day that you don't include God in? No
wonder you're uptight. Are you scheduling God out of your day
and anxiety in? Is your mind stayed on Him?
-
Rest That Remains Pt.3
Rest That Remains Pt.3
Date: April 10, 2005 Sun PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: There is no peace outside of the presence of God. His presence
fulfills you. Keeping our minds stayed on Father. Love is a
relationship; it's trust. Everything Jesus did on the cross was
to get you to walk in the cool of the day again. Accepted in the
beloved. Peace through the blood of His cross. The peace is in
the presence. If you're resting in you're justification you will
know the peace of God. We stay anxious because we don't want to
hear what the Word of God says.
-
More Than Enough
More Than Enough
Date: April 13, 2005 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Provision from God. Abundance. We limit God to what we perceive
as natural justice. He has not run out in His ability to love
you. His love is limitless. God purposefully blesses all of us.
We limit Him because we're not living by faith. When you seek
the stuff, Satan will give it to you and you'll be in bondage.
Give out of obedience. You don't give to get; you give because
you've received. Approach every situation with God as the source.

Deliver Us From Evil
Deliver Us From Evil
Date: April 17, 2005 Sun PM
Teacher: Pastor Chuck LaRock
Synopsis: Deliver us from evil. Getting in His presence clears our vision.
The most important deliverance in a trial is to be delivered
from self. Pray consistently and continually to be delivered
from evil. Evil of deception. We're protected as we live in the
light and are willing to be subjected to the light. Love the
truth. Evil of lukewarmness. Idolatry of feeling that all is
well because it is materially well. Our pursuit is a measure of
our condition. Evil of loving the world. You can't expect to be
delivered from evil when you spend so much time meditating on the
world and so little time meditating on the Lord.

Yoked With Jesus Pt.1
Yoked With Jesus Pt.1
Date: April 20, 2005 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Richard Miller
Synopsis: The yoke is to embrace death to self. You'll never know peace
until you surrender to God. Discontentment is rebellion against
God's sovereign purpose for your life. There are no accidents.
You haven't embraced the yoke until you are surrendered to His
will in your life. It's easy and light because of the one we are
yoked with. Trust is a combination of choice and relationship.
Keep your mind stayed on Him to keep your trust in Him. Who you
trust in and who you depend on can be seen in your prayer life.
Someone who trusts in God doesn't think they know what they're
doing. When you're yoked with Jesus there is praise continually
in your heart.

Yoked With Jesus Pt.2
Yoked With Jesus Pt.2
Date: April 24, 2005 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Richard Miller
Synopsis: Surrender to His sovereignty and Lordship. Surrender to His
commandments. Yoke is abandonment of self lordship. Is Jesus
enough? The fact that you're yoked with Jesus ought to be the
thrill of your life. We have to be trained to be content.
Chastisement is training. You'll never be content until God is
your life. You're depressed because you're going to all the
wrong places. His plan is perfect - there are no flaws.
-
Yoked With Jesus Pt.3
Yoked With Jesus Pt.3
Date: April 24, 2005 Sun PM
Teacher: Pastor Richard Miller
Synopsis: You are right where God wants you at this moment. Many of the
trials you go through are for the community. By nature we are
discontent. Set yourself apart and seek after Him. Early will I
seek thee. Before anything else can grab your attention. If
you're not full of God, you'll be enticed. His presence is
contagious.

In Due Time
In Due Time
Date: April 27, 2005 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Pride is putting the wrong value on yourself. Humility is
putting the proper value on yourself. There is no merit to
anything that is temporal. Humility is realizing our inability
and God's greatness in us. Don't be lords but be patterns. Our
prosperity conflicts with humility. If you haven't been through
the fire and everything has been handed to you then you have no
character. It's not how little you have but how little you think
of yourself. We could teach our children humility by just saying
NO more. We live in a society of "I Am therefore I Deserve".
Humility waits for God's time. You're not to be popular; you're
to be just.

In Due Time Pt.2
In Due Time Pt.2
Date: May 1, 2005 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: In due time God will free you from yourself - that is exaltation.
To be nothing in God's presence is the glory of man. God's
service is your greatest liberty. Until self is nothing, God is
not all. Patience is the fruit of humility. Satan is constantly
feeding you with pride. If you thing you'll be content by what
you posses you're deceived. Humility can be resisted regardless
of the amount of pressure God puts on you. It's a choice of
devaluing yourself. The glory of God has to be desired more than
the glory of self.
-
In Due Time Pt.3
In Due Time Pt.3
Date: May 1, 2005 Sun PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: One of the greatest expressions of pride can be serving. Find
what you'll be good at and do it for God alone. Praises and
acceptance of men. In every one of us is the desire to be
pre-eminent. God is the author of the circumstances in your
life. What is the motive behind what is being taught? Is it to
honor God or to honor man? Serve where you've been placed. God
has you where He wants you right now. Discontentment is one of
the greatest revelations of pride in your life. Are you content
with what God's doing in your life right now? Don't shy away
from the blessing thinking that's humility. Pride believes that
gain is godliness. You can never experience true humility when
you're trying to earn God's acceptance. True humility doesn't
trust self. Humility is choosing to obey contrary to your
natural desire.

Free From Entanglements
Free From Entanglements
Date: May 4, 2005 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Richard Miller
Synopsis: Be strong in the grace to escape the pollution of the world.
Suffer in the company who endure. Soldiers are disciplined.
This life is a war. The desire to please Him has to be the
motive to be temperate. This race is saying not my will but
thine be done. I have no rights. Dying is daily. The closer
you get to God the more trials and temptations you're going to
have. Faith is trading the visible for the invisible. Without
preparation you're going to fail. Run as though your life
depends on being first. Not keeping your body under will
disqualify you from the race. We do it to know Him. Being too
busy to commune with God angers Him.
-
In Due Time Pt.4
In Due Time Pt.4
Date: May 8, 2005 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: The ability to put the proper value on ourselves because we put
the proper value on God. The humble man is willing to be an
extension of the grace of God. God is all - self is nothing; get
more of God in you. To be nothing in God's presence is the glory
of man. Humility is being able to accept that where we are and
what we have is for the glory of God. The self righteous man
trusts in himself and despises others. Absolute nothingness.
Exaltation is liberty from self-dominion. Humility is evidenced
in obedience to death. We are not what our emotions express; we
are what our intentions are.

Synopsis: Judging other Christians. Humility is knowing what God made you
and that He made you. God's grand plan for you is more of the
same. Learning the value of the exaltation that God gives. When
God is all, self is nothing. Humility is being yoked up to do
the will of God.

His Way, Our Way, No Way
Date: May 22, 2005 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: We can never comprehend His eternal purposes. We walk by faith.
We don't know what God is doing in the eternal when we live in
the finite. Many of us serve God out of our heads. Serve God
from the heart. Armor of God - we get partly dressed and ask God
why we're getting beat-up. Will of God is the whole duty of man.
All humanity lost their will in the garden. Everything in your
life is best for you. You are right where God wants you to be.
Most of us are so diluted we don't know who we really are.
Destroy the old man by developing a jealousy for the lord in you
life. God's will is not an end - it's a journey.

His Way, Our Way, No Way Pt.2
Date: May 25, 2005 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Walk in the paths of God. In peace accept God's sovereignty in
our lives. To will and to do. We don't always want to do the
will of God. Sometimes God's will can only be accomplished in
agony. We only see God as good as how well we comprehend His
goodness. Faith is the ability to obey without understanding.
Nothing happens by chance. Give thanks in everything.

His Way, Our Way, No Way Pt.3
Date: May 29, 2005 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Agenda Free. Most of the time as you're in God's will you won't
know it clearly until after it has already gone by. The will of
God is sanctification. The sin is in not trusting in God. The
sin is in leaning to the natural understanding. The Word of God
is the only thing that can strengthen the heart, enabling it to
control the mind, to bring every thought into subjection to the
will or the Word of God. Many of us do the Word out of
obligation. You will never comprehend the love that God has for
you, the goodness that He intends for you. Stop believing God
for stuff! Just start believing God. If you'll humble yourself
to the will of God you'll be free from self and God can be
glorified in that

His Way, Our Way, No Way Pt.4
His Way, Our Way, No Way Pt.4
Date: May 29, 2005 Sun PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: We can't ever totally abandon confidence in the flesh until we
really understand God's intention to do us good all the days of
our lives. God is good whether the circumstances are bad or not.
Because there's an eternal purpose that's working in our lives,
and God's goodness to us can't be measured by your momentary
experiences of what you would perceive as good or not. The word
perfect just means the will of God being completed in us. This
is what pleases Him today: a life that's wholly committed to Him
and offered up. The will of God is divesting ourselves of
independence and self-confidence. Thinking more highly of
yourself is ever thinking that anything you do is meritorious.
All the cross is is death to self. That's God's will for your
life: to be able to live in the sufficiency of today. That's the
will of God for us: to realize that His intentions are good.

Synopsis: The kingdom isn't ambitious for self but for the glory of God.
Bought with the blood of Jesus and placed as it pleases Him.
We want to be other than we are but when are we going to
realize God hasn't made any mistakes. How can we say because
I'm not preeminent I'm not of value? God has a different value
system than man. The worst thing you can do is think you can
mature to the place of not needing the rest of the body. How
ready are you to receive ministry from the body? We'll be
strong in relation to our ability to be content with our
placement. The uncomely gets us through every day.

Somewhat Against You Pt.1
Somewhat Against You Pt.1
Date: June 15, 2005 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Seven churches of Revelation. The church is what you are. This
church is what we bring in here as individuals. if we're staying
the same, we're going backwards, because iniquity is abounding.
We live in the most dangerous time and in the most dangerous
country on the planet. Doctrinally, we believe in the imminent
return of the Lord Jesus, but we're not living like it. There is
no place for self-indulgence and assuming that the anointing is
going be there. The way to embrace that truth and reveal that
truth is to live for others rather than ourselves. Every one of
us in here has to change constantly. Every new thing is there to
choke the Word of God out of your life. We have a whole
generation of "softies" that want to get softer. God is not
expecting you to pray and fast 24 hours a day, but He is
expecting to be Lord and determine when you do it and when you
don't. Part of our problem is that we have the wrong concept of
Father and we don't understand His love and His desire to bless
us in these ways, so we take it to ourselves

Synopsis: Repentance- change course. Return to your first love.
Everything God has done in our lives is to bring Him glory.
Has your pursuit of the world increased and your pursuit of God
decreased. We forget how much we're forgiven. What are you
doing to make yourself cleaner. Are we living like Jesus can
come back at any moment. The more you determine to be like
Him - the greater the opposition. There needs to be a jealousy
for the order of God. Jesus was addressing the majority public
opinion of the day. The majority is always wrong. We come
together to prepare to take over the world. We forget where
we've been and think today is the best. What we are as a
community is what we predominately are as individuals.

there ought to be signs and wonders. Praying in one accord.
Come and believe for a visitation. Its not whether the need is
met, it's whether God is glorified. Faithful in the small
things. Occupying is not to be waiting but to be
representing. We're losing genuine trust in the provision of
God. True signs of believers: boldness, separation. We have

Date: July 13, 2005 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Richard Miller
Synopsis: Chastening is to bring you to self denial. God knows how to

life - its all about the life to come. The circumstances in
your life are not an accident. God is jealous for your heart.
He is fighting for the affection of your heart. Trials come to
expose your heart. Spiritual growth comes by the experience of
obedience. Denying yourself. The flesh wants you distracted.
The circumstances are not the problem - you are the problem.
The purpose of the trials is to purify you. The trials come to
mature and strengthen us. Maturity comes by experience. The
lifelong process of experience has a lot of failures with it.

trust in technology, medicine, and prosperity. You need to be
greater in faith and power. God's people will always prosper

Synopsis: The Word of God is the final authority in the Church. The
Apostles' doctrine will cause us to stand in the last day. Don't
make one another more important than the common cause of the
pursuit of God. Our community and unity is based on the Lordship
of Jesus and not a commitment to any man. We are baptized into

recognition of being part of the body of Christ. Koinonea - this
is what the church lived off of. Fellowship. The church
gathered daily. Its going to be a community experience. We've
replaced intimacy with information. Continue steadfastly.

Synopsis: He gives the Holy Spirit to those that obey Him. Ananias and
Sapphira were trying to live an image that wasn't real. You're

Stephen was full of faith and mighty power and he was martyred -
not delivered in the will of God. We've got to do away with the
fairy-tale-ending faith. We are not groups that are separate; we
are one body. God got the gospel out through persecution. The

things you can do is listen to your parents. Confirm what you
hear. We encounter angels unaware. Even in the Bible every day
wasn't spectacular. The promise leads us. Be used where you
are. Through persecution they were driven into circumstances.
It doesn't happen the same way all the time. The key ingredient
is obedience. Many times true faith looks reckless. We can't
equate the guidance with the consequence. God will let you where
He wants you. The fact that you've been informed doesn't mean
you've been called. Phillip's transportation. Saul's
conversion. Not everyone is going to hear what you're hearing.
When God begins to speak and guide both sides are hearing it.
Are you answering to God or is He answering to you?

Synopsis: The "worship experience." The walk in the Spirit takes work.
The flesh's natural tendency is to have God respond to us
according to our worship. There won't always be a sovereign move
corporately, but we can still experience the presence of God.
Prophets were sent by elders and told what to say.

Living in the Miraculous Pt.13
Living in the Miraculous Pt.13
Date: August 17, 2005 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: You can never be the same when you give up Lordship of your life.
Radically changed. A heart willing to do what you're told. One
of the most important aspects of guidance is to respond by
waiting. Wait until you've heard go. Wait for further
clarification. There are degrees of intensity and then God
brings us to places of rest. We need to believe for the
immediate power. What is has been ordained. God is sovereign.
Where we find ourselves, God has placed us. We need to be moved
by faith. Specific guidance will manifest itself. If God is
going to minister to us as a church we need to put down our
individual preferences. God is no respecter of persons.

Even As Pt.1
Even As Pt.1
Date: August 21, 2005 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: We're vexed by our prosperity; we're weak in faith. Do you have
sufficient power to forgive? What could I not forgive? First
response of the man being attacked is preservation. We can
either become bitter or imbibe the spirit of Stephen. The only
thing God cannot forgive is unforgiveness. The thought coming
back is not sin; its if you empower it. If it influences your
direction you haven't forgiven. The church doesn't understand
forgiveness. We forgive in direct proportion to our knowledge of
how we've been forgiven. Aphiemi - to send away. Father doesn't
love you any more on the good day than on the bad day. The only
way to bring your sin back to remembrance is to not forgive
others. The standard is Even As. Don't ask for justice; we need
mercy. What we are habitually is what we will do eventually.
-
Even As Pt.2
Even As Pt.2
Date: August 21, 2005 Sun PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Love is the ability to not keep score. Love allows us to be able
to pursue the habitual seeking of good for the others, the
emptying of ourselves to build the body of Christ and to
represent His lordship properly. Aphiemi means to send away, to
remit, as we shared this morning, to dismiss or to release from
all responsibility and guilt. Let it go. By refusing to release
that and remain in unforgiveness you are continuing to inflict
pain upon Jesus, and it will ultimately result in your own
destruction. Forgive because it honors Jesus. It's not about
you. There are some sins for which retribution cannot be made.
The one unforgivable sin is unforgiveness. The moment that we
begin to retain another's sins, ours are brought back to
recognition and placed back to our account.
-
Even As Pt.3
Even As Pt.3
Date: August 24, 2005 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Many times the Word of God requires restitution to make things
right. There is never the ability to be free until you have
forgiven and you have been forgiven. What makes an individual an
enemy is not how they relate to us, but how they relate to our
Father. Until we understand that we are forgiven, we can't
forgive; and until we forgive, we can't be forgiven. Forgiveness
is all about putting the proper worth on the blood of Jesus.
There are things that can be forgiven, which don't have to be
reproved. It requires an encounter; it requires repentance; and
that requires forgiveness. The person can't be forgiven until he
repents. The pattern is: there has to be the repentance, then
the healing. You haven't come to grips with the love of your
Father for you. You're still relating to God on a merit basis.
You can't believe that He can love you as you are. When you come
to that realization, then you can love everybody else around you.
There's never a liberty to go and seek forgiveness,
reconciliation, until you've first been reconciled back to
Father, because you need to understand that no offense you commit
is toward man alone; it's always toward God.

The Power of Words
The Power of Words
Date: August 28, 2005 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Jeff Heglund
Synopsis: Power of Words. You can't put a big enough watch on your mouth.
What are you filling yourself with? Are you complaining?
Preoccupation with yourself. If left to ourselves, all we have
to give is the works of the flesh. The power of the Word of God
is in our kids and its working so don't lose heart. We get into
trouble by talking too much. Carefulness to not have to express
everything in our minds. Be careful to not attribute motives to
other people's actions. Protecting friendships by slander and
gossip. We're not always careful with who is in the room when we
talk. Our flesh loves gossip. Talebearers. We should never
share anything that brings someone in a bad light. Don't meddle
in strife belonging to other people. Are we still judging people
for who they used to be?

Living in the Miraculous Pt.14
Date: August 28, 2005 Sun PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Witness. There is always the
doctrinal stability of the oversight of the church. The spirit
of Barnabas. Bringing Paul to Antioch. When God begins to
manifest His presence you begin to get weird stuff. Prophets of
God. Prophets were sent by elders and told what to say. Rest in
the sovereignty of God and our steps being ordered of Him. Don't
believe in the greatness of your prayer, believe in the greatness
of your God. Your prayers will dispatch the angels of God on
behalf of your brothers and sisters.

Living in the Miraculous Pt.15
Date: August 31, 2005 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: God is for us and no one can be against us. We are constantly
being opposed. Give me the grace to embrace the cross. What is
coming on us you're not going to see coming. They would kill us
now if they could get away with it. God will answer our prayers
even when we don't really believe it because we're praying out of
obedience. We need to resolve ourselves to the sovereignty of
God. How do you respond to the moment? Are you expecting the
unexpected? The angels are always there. The supernatural is
occurring all around us and we're not aware of it. God has and
will fight for us. When the world least expects it, God will do
a miracle. Everything we believe is in direct proportion to what
God has revealed to you. Faith is the assurance in the person of
God. Faith isn't always going against natural wisdom.

Living in the Miraculous Pt.16
Date: September 4, 2005 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: God doesn't need superstars to affect His purposes. The ministry
is the job of the people. Supernatural. Orderly. Careful. If
God said it, it will be confirmed by your counselors. Much of
the guidance comes from the set gifts. You're better off missing
God on a specific issue than a divine principle. As they
ministered to the Lord, God speaks in the atmosphere of worship.
Fasting is emphasizing the presence of God over the temporal
part of life. You need to be sent. The 21st century church has
become a political entity. Representation with the authority of
God. Conflict of Kingdoms.

Living in the Miraculous Pt.17
Date: September 7, 2005 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: The manifestation of the gifts of the Spirit should be the same
today or more than they were then. Where is the power of God?
Where are the signs and the wonders that so obviously
accompanied the church? Don't be afraid to contend for the
faith and for the truth. If He's Lord, then you don't have any
business trying to govern your own life. How in love are we
with the lost souls of our day? God is not willing that any
should perish. What are you doing dying? You want to be filled
with the Holy Ghost? Empty yourself in sharing the gospel and
God will fill you back up. You will be accepted of the world
and you will ultimately be overcome and destroyed by them if you
don't preach this gospel and make it very clear whose side
you're on.

Living in the Miraculous Pt.18
Living in the Miraculous Pt.18
Date: September 11, 2005 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: The good choices you're making are miraculous. The prominent
people brought about persecution. Every time there is a move of
God - revival, persecution follows. To go beyond the moment of
shaking the dust off your feet is to compromise the gospel. The
joy comes from obedience. Empty yourself so you have to be
filled again. Pour your life out for the kingdom. We've lost
the simplicity of the power of God. We have enough
entertainment. We must speak the truth boldly. Are you
expecting the power of God to rise up in you? Don't limit the
power of your testimony. Be truthful with where you are. A
thousand people left during the last mighty move of God. When
you're asking for two times the miracles you're asking for two
times the trials.

Living in the Miraculous Pt.19
Date: September 11, 2005 Sun PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: If brought on trial today, could you be convicted of being a
Christian? The best decision is the eternal decision, and the
temporal will all be accomplished for the glory of God. You
don't work up to it; you're just available. You don't just run
around praying for everybody. You're sensing, looking for these
things. You're waiting. If you ever think it's you, you're in
trouble. Don't get out there doing your own thing. Let God use
you. What are you bringing under in the secular so you might
pursue and prepare for the eternal?

Living in the Miraculous Pt.20
Living in the Miraculous Pt.20
Date: September 14, 2005 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: The church is on the offensive; we don't make apologies for who
we are and what we proclaim. We have a cross, each one of us,
to identify with, and it's the cross of Jesus. We all have the
same cross, and that's the embracing of death to self-will. One
of the toughest things to do is to commend these things to the
Lord, and yet they're never in safer hands than when our hands
are off of it. Many of us don't fulfill what God's called us to
do. Don't be afraid to speak the truth. Seduction, in so much
of the church today, has to do with acceptance of the social
order. There is too much America in the church and not enough
church in America. The law is for those who are not walking in
the Spirit When somebody stands and reminds you of what the
doctrine is, do it! Edification, exhortation, comfort; that's
what prophecy's about. The way to recognize a false prophet is
somebody who's out of order and out from under authority.

Living in the Miraculous Pt.21
Date: September 18, 2005 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Is our life wholly being poured out for the Lord? The one hope
for us to live is to die. You can't have the determination of
Paul and not receive persecution for it. If you build a
reputation for yourself its not easy to get rid of . The more
preeminent Paul became the more humble he became. When you think
you're something you're probably not. When you are somebody you
don't have to put yourself off as somebody. Sanctified
intellect. We make direction and God orders our steps. God has
strategies that we're not aware of. Don't ever go against the
inner witness even if it seems right.

Synopsis: Nobel Bereans. We're not Americans; we're Christians who live in
America. Evangelism should be the most natural thing we do;
keeping the people we reach is the most important. What do you

Synopsis: Baptism is a public profession of an inward work you are assured
of. Initial, physical evidence of Baptism in Holy Spirit is
tongues. Don't seek the evidence; seek the presence. Paul used
whatever vehicle was possible to propagate the gospel. God
worked special miracles through Paul. Reality of signs and
wonders. Charlatans. The central message should not be the
miracles. Even though there are charlatans, miracles are still
real. Human nature overreacts to immediate circumstances. Name
of Jesus magnified. What are you in secret? That's who you are.
Redirection in your actions. What are you holding on to that
you need to get rid of? Sin is sin - but worldliness is
different today.

Living in the Miaculous Pt.25
Date: September 25, 2005 Sun PM

Synopsis: The love of money is the root of all evil. Why do you feel that
it's necessary to try to defend God? You don't have to protect
your God; he protects you. We don't have anything to prove. We
know what's coming. False prophets. What do you believe? Let's
not worry about how comfortable we are but pursue God's best.
Have you been able to commend your family to God or are you still
trying to be the answer. Everything that is absolute truth seems
illogical to the natural mind. Don't put confidence in your
perception; put confidence in the sovereignty of God. We can't
withhold those things that are profitable from those around us.
Speak the truth in love. Our standard of believer is a little
different than other Christian's standards. Everything external
(in your mate) can change. You still have a list.

celebrity, education, neighborhood. Snare - you don't see it.
You're not safe if you're breaking the laws. Are we offering up

The Law is Good Pt.1
The Law is Good Pt.1
Date: October 7, 2005 Fri PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: We're walking outside of the power of God to sustain us. The key
to the law is that it must be used lawfully. Your conscience is
only as pure as your submission to the law. Maturity is the
proper use of temperance. Temperance is a life controlled by the
law. The law is to keep our flesh under control. The mature man
knows he can't be trusted. We don't trust the law for merit;
it's for maturation. The law will always point you to Jesus.
Its not lawful to stir the opposite sex when you can't do
anything about it. Music is the primary offense right now.
Whatever it is that robs the Lordship of Jesus has to be brought
back to temperance. Effeminate - lover of a soft life. You are
not your own. Maturity is a life of making right decisions.
Modesty. Gambling.

The Law is Good Pt.2
The Law is Good Pt.2
Date: October 9, 2005 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: God has honored us by letting us be His last generation. The
church was birthed on the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. One
heart - one mind. God purged out what didn't belong. We are a
people unique, separate, holy. We are the Corinthian Church.
Boasting in their spirituality while there was sin in their
midst. The biggest problem we're facing right now is an improper
application of the law. Maturity is the proper use of
temperance. A conscience not guided by the law is not
conscience. Secret power of lawlessness. A mature man is one
that is fulfilling the law. The law is good. There is no
greater knowledge than in the goodness of God. Moral law. The
law is not legalism. The law is for the lawless. The lawless
are those who want to use their liberty as an occasion to the
flesh. Our liberty is to keep the law. There are moral
guidelines that are binding. The law points us to Jesus. The
law shows us what sin is. Where is the jealousy for the glory of
God. The will of God is sanctification. Abstain from
fornication. Fornication is the illicit stirring of passion
beyond biblical guidelines of the marriage covenant. Fornication
can't be entertainment.

The Law is Good Pt.3
The Law is Good Pt.3
Date: October 9, 2005 Sun PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Liberty is found in the law. Gnosticism. Fornication -
pornea. Jesus fulfilled the law and took it to another level.
The Kingdom we live in is pure. Illicit sexual relations. To
look and to lust - it doesn't have to be the act. A little
leaven. Do not company with fornicators. Judge them that are
within. There are amoral things we do in our lives. They
become immoral when they have power over us. When they become
dominant its idolatry. To embrace the world's system is to join
Christ to a harlot. If you're dressing to entice, you're
committing fornication. Wives have a job to seduce their
husbands. Effeminate - of soft raiment. The soft life -
pursuit of party spirit. What are you doing with all your spare
time? Antichrist's agenda is to separate us from God. If
you're living in Sodom you're going to be vexed. Parents need
to take back liberties.

The Law is Good Pt.4
The Law is Good Pt.4
Date: October 12, 2005 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Purge out leaven. God's glory has been stolen. People have
been finding satisfaction in stolen waters. Without the law
there is no knowledge of sin. Run to obtain. Maturity is the
proper use of temperance. Disciplined, consistent, faithful.
Habitually makes right decisions. What is my life consisting
of? Mature man comes to grips with his dependence on God. If
we're living other than to glorify God we are double minded.
Sin of Sodom was pride, fullness of bread and abundance of
idleness. What you deserve doesn't have to do with worth, but
character, experience and what God deems to give to you. We
think we deserve so we have no appreciation. If you don't
forsake all and follow Jesus you don't deserve Jesus. You don't
deserve the benefits and rights if you haven't been through the
process. Abstinence is a means to temperance. What have you
walked away from to obtain Christ? Because we can - we do - but
should we? We've overvalued our abilities. Demons are assigned
to every one of us. Temperate in everything. Temperance is the
consequence of death to self.
-
The Law is Good Pt.5
The Law is Good Pt.5
Date: October 16, 2005 Sun AM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Holiness means God is separate. He stands alone; there's none
like Him. He's not the best of many; He is exclusive, distinct,
unique. Relationship gives no place for commonness. You're here
for a purpose; and it's not to squander eighty years on yourself.
Fearing God is your purpose for being. The law is the
schoolmaster; the adult always appreciates the schoolmaster, the
adolescent never does. The law is a mirror. Maturity is the
proper, habitual use of temperance, a life of making right
choices and being under the control of the Spirit of God. The
mature are those who are sober. To abstain and trust in it is
pride. The proper use of temperance is a means to the glory of
God. Everything this world has to offer will be offered up by a
man who really encounters the presence of God. You've got the
doctrine, but you've never had the passion. You will not be the
best in the world without paying a price; it's going to cost you
something. Temperance is saying no to everything that would not
help us reach our goal.

The Law is Good Pt.6
Date: October 16, 2005 Sun PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: If you're going to finish this race successfully, you can't allow
anything in the other kingdom to dominate your life. The
consequences are unthinkable of defecting from this kingdom that
we're in. Why aren't you in love with God? What's the pearl of
great price in your life? When you've seen it you'll forsake
everything else. It's not about should I or shouldn't I; It's
about where's the value, then all that other stuff falls into
place. Temperance comes from abstinence. Every decision is a
test, it's a proving. Denying yourself is talking about
forfeiting lordship. You're not your own, you're bought with a
price. Deny your right to make choices outside of His
commandments. You don't know who you are until you're given
liberty. Then you'll find out who you are by the decisions you make.

God forever. Worship requires all of your life. Without the
impartation of the Holy Spirit, worship is impossible. God only
accepts worship that begins in Him. Worship is to involve our
emotions. Worship is the outward expression of our love

Synopsis: Spiritual sleep is where you're religious but there's no power.
Eventually you won't just be asleep, you'll be dead. We allow
what we shouldn't allow. People sleep because they're not really
born again. They're deceived. Lack of fear. Adoration.
Fascinate. We're fascinated by the wrong things. Childish
belief that time is going to make us better. Unexamined life.
We refuse to challenge the status quo. Making a decision causes
us to wake up. Prayer and church because you have to. Being a
workaholic. You'll always be miserable when you're only giving
part way. You can't be there for your friends and family because
you're in your own little world. Other people suffer when you're
asleep. How do we wake up. Born again. Is your whole life
really God's? Fully surrendered. Deal thoroughly with the sin
in your life. Just obey. You'll only be awake when God
manifests himself to you - and that won't happen unless you obey.
Cultivate your fascination with the Lord. People who are asleep
avoid the light.

Synopsis: We believe God is not good by our actions. We demand our

God. Instead of being caught up with how you look in the mirror,
how about being caught up with how you look to God. Goodness of
God. God traded Jesus straight across for you. Goodness is not
tolerance. Goodness is grace and mercy. Our independence keeps
us blinded to God's goodness. Daily embrace the cross. You're

Habits are not broken by decisions; they're broken by new habits.
God's will makes you happy. When you seek the kingdom, nothing

God is Good Pt.3
God is Good Pt.3
Date: November 16, 2005 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: Power of independence, pride, illicit ambition, and selfishness.
These distractions that cause us to pursue other than the
presence of God are because we really don't believe God is good
and that He has our good intentions at heart. What God
originates is good because God is good. The source of our
prejudice is not the worth or the character of the other
individual, but the lack of character on our part. God's way is
best. The man is blessed that trusts in Him. How God manifests
His goodness is based upon His justice, His sovereignty, His
wisdom, and His eternal purposes, or what we would call the
determinate counsel of God. Happiness isn't controlled by
circumstances; happiness is knowing that God is your Lord. When
you know that God is good, there is no fear. Why would you try
to fight your own battles, gain your own wealth, and set your own
course, when God has already determined from before the
foundations of the world what's best for you? The goodness of
God leads us to repentance.

Date: December 28, 2005 Wed PM
Teacher: Pastor Star R. Scott
Synopsis: If you don't oppose it, it will overcome you. Most effective
form of evangelism is one on one. Missions begins in your home.
We are not seeing conversions because we're presenting a cheap
gospel. Do we have compassion for souls or are we doing it out
of obligation. Every day we're to take up the cross. We will be
infused with a passion for the lost. You live different than
everybody else when you live in the presence of God. Don't ever
be afraid to be excited in your profession of Jesus.
