I was watching some of the hands that were raised. I don’t want you to misunderstand the point that I’m making in any way, but it was interesting. As I watched some of the hands that were raised, and as we were talking about trials and enduring, I saw that some of the hands were raised by people who haven’t been saved for quite a year yet, and they’ve been enduring "so long." How many of you have been waiting at least twenty years for God to do a certain thing that you have believed for? Let me see your hands. Do you see? Some of you have a little longer to wait. I know there are some things I have been waiting for over twenty years. There are things I have believed God for that God has spoken to me and promised me. It’s been twenty years. It hasn’t happened yet, but it’s sooner than when I first believed, praise God! Amen? It’s here, and it’s on the verge. The key to this whole thing is, "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not" (Galatians 6:9). Can you say, "Praise the Lord" for that? Those of you who are new believers—you’ve been enduring, you’ve been waiting, you’ve been trusting God, and you’ve been faithful for three weeks. Just keep being faithful. Just keep believing, and you will find out that faithful is He that promised, Who will do it, praise God! Can you say, "Amen" to that? Isn’t that good news? We can just rest in the Lord. However, I know in duration that the two or three weeks since your new birth have been a long time, percentage-wise. Don’t get discouraged. We are not saying this to discourage you. We are saying it to encourage you and realize that God is faithful. He will do it! It’s exciting!

Kimberly shared that Richard had asked her to sing, and she said, "I don’t really have a definite leading on what to sing." I was listening to her practice last night. It was about midnight or so. She was still going over some songs and singing, and I was studying. I heard her going over this particular song. The words were exactly what the Spirit’s been saying to us in what we’ve been studying recently. I just shared with her, "That’s it." I liked that one phrase in there about the time and the choice. Don’t you like that? That one phrase says there’s another choice to make, and isn’t that what life’s all about? It’s about choices; that’s all it is. It is just about choices. You either make right choices, or you make wrong choices. This day, I set before you life and death. Therefore, choose… Isn’t that an easy choice? Now, how many of you, if every decision was that easy, think you would make the right choice? I mean every decision. Okay, you are going to live or die. Which one do you want? How many of you think you could probably choose the right category each and every time?

Now, we don’t understand that is what we’re really doing many times in our lives, as He says, "I have set before you life and death." You choose to be obedient to the Word of God; you’ve chosen life. You choose to go the way of the natural man, the flesh; he that sows to the flesh reaps destruction. It is really that simple. Every decision you make is a life and death choice. You’re either choosing the Word of God, or you are choosing to reject the Word of God. Once we begin to see that, making choices is really easy. You no longer make choices momentarily and based upon temporal satisfaction, when you understand the consequences of the decisions you are making and the magnitude of the truth that every decision is acceptance to do the word of God, to let Jesus be Lord in our lives, or to reject His lordship. You see; it’s not a simple thing. It’s not, "Well, this is just a temporal decision. This is just…" With every decision you make, you are either accepting or rejecting the lordship of Jesus Christ. If you look at it in that light, it will help you to make some right decisions, praise God! Because, don’t you want to Him to be lord of your life?

Let’s turn in our Bibles, if you would. We’re going to continue on in our study in Walking in the Will of God. We were talking a little bit on Wednesday night about some of the aspects of walking in God’s will. Before we can walk in the will of the Lord, we have to know what it is. So then, we have to be able to hear the voice of God and to know this is the way that still small voice speaks to us. "This is the way; walk in it. This is my will for you; walk in it." Every one of us here wants to know the will of God for our lives, and the way we want it—we want it spelled out in detail from beginning to end. Now, how many of you would like it to come that way? We want it delivered, hand delivered, by angelic beings, written upon the wall, or as some audible voice that comes and speaks to us. Then, we would know that we really heard the voice of God. Tragically, most of us misunderstand how God has chosen to speak to us and the real authority of God that’s been given to us. Although God will use angels, He will speak in audible voices, He will speak with inner witness, and He will direct us and guide us with external revelations, He has chosen a way to reveal His will to us that’s infallible. We must come to understand that.

Turn, if you would, to the second epistle of Peter. It is a revelation that we’re aware of, and, so often, we lose sight of this because of an over familiarity. Listen to that noise; do you hear it? Do you hear the turning of all of those pages? Tragically, you can go to a lot of churches and not hear anything like that. Tragically, you can go to a lot of churches, hear all that noise, people can give you all the information, and they aren’t keeping all of His commandments. The key is not being hearers of the word but doers. What you were just doing here was flipping. We hear all of the noise of all of the pages rustling back and forth. Do you understand that you were rustling the breath of God? This is the Word of God; this is the breath of God. We just heard that rustling was the breath of God being breathed out among us. Look in the second book of Peter at what it says in the first chapter. "For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty" (2 Peter 1:16).

Aren’t you glad there were some eyewitnesses? I mean they "eyeballed" this thing; they checked it out. They saw it, praise God! God allowed this to take place so they would relay this revelation to us, for he says, "For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased" (2 Peter 1:17). They heard it audibly. They heard it. God spoke from heaven and said, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear ye Him, whatever He has to say!" Then, as the revelation continued, they make a statement saying they heard that voice. As you read the account, they say they saw Him, or they beheld Him. If you read the account over in Matthew, it says He was transfigured before their very eyes. In other words, the presence of God, the manifest presence became so real—can you imagine looking at Jesus and seeing this? The manifest presence became so real, the glory that was within, that the glory just began to shine through every pore of His body! The glory of the Lord just began to ooze out of Him; He was transfigured, translucent. It says the light and the glory of God began to shine forth, and He was transfigured before their very eyes. They saw this thing; this is "slick"! They heard the voice come out of heaven. Peter jumped up and said "It’s good for us to be here, Lord! Let us build three tabernacles." Moses and Elijah had shown up and had a conversation. So Peter says, "We’ll build." God says, "There are not going to be three tabernacles. This is My Son in whom I’m well pleased. Hear Him."

As Peter accounts this as a more mature believer, he says, "I saw these things with my eyes, and I heard the voice of God with my ears." Now, how many of you would like to have an experience like that? Sure, that’d be exciting; that’s great. There is nothing wrong with that, but, after having experienced this, he says, "I have some good news for you all." "We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts" (1 Peter 2:19). That’s what this Word is to us. How many of you know we’re living in a dark and cruddy world, with a bunch of demonic lies and deceptions that are absolutely overtaking our nation? Do you realize that, what we’re living in today? Aren’t you glad we have a light that’s shinning in a dark place? This is it! [Bible] If you are confused with what is going on in our world and our society today, and if you are confused by the onslaught of information that’s bombarding our minds as to what is acceptable, what’s "chic," what’s not, what’ll make you a success, and what won’t, beloved, I want you to understand that this is a light shining in a dark place. This is our only hope of deliverance. He makes the statement, "Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost" (2 Peter 1:20-21). This is no man’s opinion; this is not anything that has come philosophically from man’s mind. This is the mind, the revelation, and the heart of God. It is revealed to us as a more sure word of prophesy. In other words, every prophetic utterance and every voice that you hear, from this time forth, has to be compared to this utterance. It’s the more sure word, regardless of what’s going to be taking place in our lives and regardless of what voice, revelation, prophesy, or utterance you hear spoken in your inner man. "Oh, I’ve heard from God. I know it’s God! I have that inner witness. I’ve heard an audible voice. I had an angel appear to me, and he told me this is the word of the Lord." I don’t care where it is inwardly; every word you hear outwardly must be taken and compared to this more sure word. If we don’t do that, we’re going to end up in deception, especially in the day that we’re living in, when all of these voices are crying out for your mind.

Just the other day, I was reading something about Muhammad. I thought it was interesting that when Muhammad was out, and he was involved in some of his meditations, he heard these voices. It is very interesting that the first thing he did was go to a Christian, because he was concerned that what he heard was demonic and not the voice of God. He went to a Christian and said, "I’ve heard these voices. I’ve received these revelations, and I don’t really know what to do with them. I’m concerned that maybe they are demonic." This Christian advisor to him said, "Oh, no. That has to be the voice of God." How many of you know that he missed it? I wonder why this Christian gave this young man who was seeking God this type of advice. It was because he didn’t have a standard. He didn’t know the more sure word. If that "Christian" had known the Word of God, do you understand that he would realize that you cannot add to or take away from this revelation? If we had that more sure word, we wouldn’t have those like Muhammad and Joseph Smith with their new revelations. We would have true men of God and true prophets of God that would be crying out, "This is way; walk in it!" This is part of what we dealt with historically, and we’ll deal with it until the Lord comes back. I don’t know about you, but I’m not going to be one of them that’s going to be deceived, because I’m not quick to receive what anybody says to me. I’m not quick to receive what I say, because there have been times that I’ve been teaching and speaking by revelation. It doesn’t happen all the time, but I can think of a couple occasions when I would be speaking and all of a sudden, out of my spirit, I’d say something. I’d think, "Is that right?" As I was speaking, I could continue. It was a thing where I would draw back within myself, and I didn’t stop what was being spoken. But, as I was speaking out of the spirit, I would immediately kick in my "computer," draw on the Word of God, and draw on biblical precedents. Then, I would say, "Yes. Okay. I’m more comfortable with that. I see that in the Bible."

Wednesday night, I shared that we’re living in a day—it’s very tragic that many of us have been blessed by ministry gifts in the last number of decades, and most of these are no longer teaching the Word of God. I shared with you about one man that’s affected my life and blessed me as much as any. I heard him make a statement a few months ago that just grieved me. I heard him make a statement saying, "I’d rather be in unity with my brethren than to be doctrinally correct." This was a man that held to this [Bible], preached as much as any on the integrity of the Word of God, and now he has compromised the Word of God to be in unity with man. I can’t follow that kind of teaching any longer. I’m thankful for what has been done, the good things that were said, and the good things that I received that changed my life, but I no longer have any desire to follow that kind of ministry: a ministry that’s chosen the flesh over the revelation of God’s word. That is why you always compare whatever you hear preached with the Word of God, whether it is over the radio, television, or out of this pulpit. Let God be true and every man a liar.

Now, here we have this more sure word that’s given to us. If it is going to become a light to direct our paths—in fact, turn over to the book of Psalms for just a moment, Chapter 119. Let me show you something concerning God’s revelation of His word, the fact that this is the more sure word, and this is the only course that’s to direct our lives in finding the will of God. I’m going to show you how we as Christians, many times, get off the will of God by majoring in minors and wanting to hear the intricate details of God directing our lives. I use this illustration many times, and I’ll use it again. It is about praying, "Oh, Lord! What should I do? Here I am in Safeway, and I don’t know whether to buy Safeway brand or to buy Del Monte. Oh, God; speak!" God doesn’t care what you buy! I mean, give me a break! People that are spending their time doing those things—many of those people that are praying whether they should buy Del Monte or Safeway are people that are people that aren’t even working. They are in there being lazy! The Scripture says if you don’t work, you shouldn’t eat. You shouldn’t even have to be worried about that choice. You shouldn’t have to be making that decision. You shouldn’t even be eating, if you’re not keeping the basic commandment of working.

Do you see what I’m trying to say? We have people that are praying for specific guidance, who are also dealing with hatred, and envy, and bitterness, and strife, and all of the things that are biblically revealed that should not be in your life. Those that are doing such things will not inherit the kingdom of God, and we’re praying over all of these specific directions and guidance in life. Beloved, begin to do what you know to do, what’s been revealed to do, and the other things where our steps are ordered of the Lord. This is something that’s interesting to watch in people’s lives. The obvious is being ignored, and the time is being spent on the peripheral. Let’s deal with the things He has revealed that are clear and that He expects us to be doing. We should ask ourselves, "Am I doing the will of God?" Now, I’ll unfold this to you as we go, and you’ll see this as a truth as we go on into the study. But, until we get this particular basic principle down, you see what is happening. You’ve opened yourself up to deception. You’re now deceived. You think you’re hearing the Word of God. "Oh! I’m hearing from God! He said, ‘Del Monte.’" Well, you probably heard from the spirit of Del Monte. That’s not necessarily the voice of God. You may have heard a voice, and it could become a very familiar voice to you, a very familiar spirit to you, but it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the voice of God. The voice of God is not going to be dealing with your life over green beans when He needs to be speaking to you about building your character. How many of you know that it is easier to hear voices about green beans than it is to hear voices dealing with the realities in our life that need to be changed?

Okay, so here we go. We realize that, if we’re going to be lead by the Spirit of God, and He’s going to lead us into all truth, we have to understand what He’s interested in talking about. There are certain things that God emphasizes. You can read the Scriptures; those are subjects God is interested in. Some of you have never heard the voice of God. Maybe you’re not tuned into the right channel. Maybe you ought to turn over to the "character channel." "God, tell me how to make money. God, tell me how to be successful in life!’ Or you could pray, "God, tell me how to get to heaven." How many of you think that would be a good place to start?

We realize that he’s speaking, and he says, "By this more sure word, He has revealed His will to us." To begin hearing the voice of God, let’s begin to deal in the obvious and the things He wants to get across to us. Now, in Psalm 119, he begins to share a number of principles with us. We’re talking about being led by the Spirit, hearing the voice of God, walking in the will of God. In this verse, he makes this statement to us; he says, "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path" (Psalms 119:105). It’s a light in this dark world. Aren’t you glad that we have these footlights we can walk by? The Bible says when we walk in the light, there’s no occasion of stumbling [1 John 2:10]. Well, how do I get in the light, Lord? "Give me revelation, Lord. How can I find that light? God, how can I know that?" He said, "Here’s the lamp; here’s the lamp, right here. Here’s the light. All you have to do is walk in the light of this lamp, and you can’t stumble." It’s impossible to fall. It’s impossible to fail when you’re keeping His commandments, praise God! Amen? It’s impossible to be defeated! He watches over His Word! We’ve heard those verses quoted already this morning. He’ll watch over His Word; yes, His will. God is faithful to those who are obedient. Many of us heard those Scriptures this morning. His Word is true to a thousand generations. God watches over His Word and performs it. Though we fail, God will never fail; He cannot deny Himself. We heard all of these principles. Listen to me. The Bible says, "If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land" (Isaiah 1:19). God is faithful; the Scripture says He is the faithful God to those who are obedient. That word keeps coming up: obedience. We are not hearers of the word, but doers, obedient. "Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin" (James 4:17). The obedience factor is what He’s speaking to us.

The word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. Now, lest some of you—and I’m just going to make this statement in passing, but I want to plug it in here because I know some of you get very discouraged and say, "Oh, I didn’t do God’s will. I’m lost. Oh, I’m no good! There’s no hope for me!" The fourth chapter of Hebrews says that the Word of God abides in us, and it is a discerner of the thoughts and the intentions of the heart [Hebrews 4:12]. Even though we fail God many times, and make choices that are not according to the Word of God and the will of God, God knows whether or not our hearts desire to do His will. The Scripture makes it clear that it is God that’s working in us to will and do His good pleasure. It’s not you anyway. You can’t take any credit if you did happen, by mistake, to do something right. It’s He that’s at work within us, to will and to do His good pleasure. It’s His life being lived through us. We can’t take any of the glory for any of the things that we do that are right and acceptable for Him, since it is God that works it in us. He desires to live His life through me; the obedience factor is just my willingness to let Him do it.

Now, when my flesh begins to dominate, I sin, and I make wrong choices. God knows that in my heart I still want to do the will of the Lord. He’ll speak to me and chastise me with His Word, because I’m a son. I’m not a bastard; I’m a son, and He loves me. He’s chosen me, and because of our relationship, He will chastise me. I repent, and I’ll be restored back into fellowship with Him. Now, this is how it works, but the Word becomes that source that guides our paths. The more we obey, the less casualties we are going to have, the less heartache, and the less scars. His word becomes the lamp unto our feet and the light unto our path. He leads us into that way of life: the straight and narrow.

Look what else he says here, in verse 130. I want to get over to the main part of our teaching this morning as quickly as I can. There is something I specifically want to share with you. But here he says, "The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple" (Psalms 119:130). I like the way he calls us "simple" here, just so categorically. Anyone who’s not doing the word is simple. The Word of God brings revelation to us, and then, in the hundred and thirty-third verse, he makes one statement that’s just so beautiful. The heart of the psalmist cries out and says, "Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me" (Psalms 113:133). Is that your heart’s desire this morning? You know another way of saying that; it is in the new covenant: "Not my will. Thy will be done." Lord, I’m not asking You to come and bless my ideas. I’m not asking You to come, condone, and bless my natural choices and lusts. I want my steps ordered of You. I want You to reveal to me the way, and say, "This is way; walk in it." I choose life today. I’m going to walk in the commandments of God. Is that where your heart is this morning? Well, if that’s where we are, then we’re going to realize that, in order to have our steps ordered, they’re going to be ordered through the Word. They are not going to be ordered by any external revelation. They are not going to be ordered by popular consent. God has already revealed the way that you’re to walk as a righteous man. It doesn’t change for anybody. God is no respecter of persons. The Word makes it clear that, if any man will purge himself of these things, worldly things and worldly principles, God will make us vessels of honor. God is no respecter of persons. He’s not going to choose one person above another based upon worth. He’s going to deal with us based upon submission and obedience of our hearts, and, if any vessel is willing, God will use it. Any vessel that will honor Him, He’ll empower you. This is the revelation that’s coming to us. Now, unless we make the Word of God our standard, and it becomes that more sure word, then we’re putting everything else against deception that can easily come and overtake us.

Turn, if you would for just a second, to the book of Kings. Let me show you one example here, and then, time allowing, we’re going to go to Genesis and deal with specific guidance and direction as it was coming to Abraham’s servant as he was going out to chose Isaac’s wife. We can learn a lot of things through that, but let me show you something here in Kings first. I want to show you how this Kings passage and the Genesis passage fit so closely together, and then, how we have to come to the knowledge of God. In 1 Kings, Chapter 13—a little bit of context here… We know the evilness of the heart of Jeroboam that’s come. Jeroboam is afraid that, if the people go back to Jerusalem, their hearts are going to be won back to God. Because of that, he wants to keep them away from the house of God. Does that sound interesting today? So many times, people—I don’t understand this. So many times, we’re very strong on commitment to the house of God. I believe that it’s wrong not to be in house of God. I believe the Bible when it says that we’re not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together. How many of you believe that is Biblical? "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching" (Hebrews 10:25). The day is on us!

I want to tell you that this is no day to be staying home and resting up for work. This is no day to be missing assembling with the saints to stay home and watch the Sunday movie. This is no day to be staying home and missing the fellowship with the saints because the children are tired. This is the day when we need to be gathering together and fellowshipping together. I want to tell you that little voices will come to you; they are contrary to the Word of God. They oppose the more sure word, justify your flesh, keep you from the house of God, and want to keep you from Jerusalem. It is true, whether you know it or not, beloved. You may have heard the voice. It may appear to be a form of worship, but you’re not worshipping the living God! In 1 Kings it says, "And he made an house of high places, and made priests of the lowest of the people, which were not of the sons of Levi" (1 Kings 12:31). Isn’t this interesting? Who was it that was setting the standards for the nation? It was the lowest of the people, so the standards had to be set low. Isn’t that interesting? It is interesting religion we have going on here. Who’s giving direction to the people? Who is it that’s leading the people? It was the lowest, the most carnal, and they were the priests! They were setting the standards, and the standards were low, and everybody loved it. It was such a good message. They began to ordain a feast of the eighth month, and the reason—I went back into the twelfth chapter to show you this one phrase in verse 33. I love this! Based upon the creditability of the priests, they set up their feasts and their sacrifices, and it says, "So he offered upon the altar which he had made in Bethel the fifteenth day of the eighth month, even in the month which he had devised of his own heart; [I like that phrase. Out of revelation he devised this of his own heart that this is a special day. This is the day in which we worship.] and ordained a feast unto the children of Israel: and he offered upon the altar, and burnt incense" (1 Kings 12:33). It was a religion devised of the heart of man; it is humanism, yet it is with all of the trappings. Everything is done the same way they were doing it in Jerusalem, except it was devised out of the heart of man, for man’s convenience, and with man’s standards.

As this was going on, the prophet of God showed up. "And, behold, there came a man of God out of Judah by the word of the Lord unto Bethel: and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense" (1 Kings 13:1). He’s ministering, and he’s set up this special day. Everything is going great, the man of God comes out, and the second verse says he cried out. This wasn’t something that was done in secret. I have had people come, and I have received a lot of flack over the years. People have said, "You criticized these ministries, and you shouldn’t talk about people." Let me tell you something; if we’re children of light, everything we do ought to be able to be held up in the light. If what’s being spoken is not truth, and if what’s being spoken is spoken publicly, and if it is deceiving people en masse, it must be opposed publicly.

The prophet came, but he didn’t go to Jeroboam and say, "You know, Jeroboam, you shouldn’t being doing this. You are deceiving people. This isn’t right." He came, and he cried against the altar. You will notice he didn’t cry out against Jeroboam. He didn’t say, "Jeroboam, thou foul, skuzzy, lousy, no good, diabolical, hard-hearted, stiff-necked, uncircumcised…" He didn’t say that. You will also notice that anything we’ve said has never been against the character of men, but it was against what they were saying. You’ve never heard me speak against the character of a man or in any way degrade a man. We came against the altar, the voice, the word, and the doctrine "And he cried against the altar in the word of the Lord, and said, O altar, altar, thus saith the Lord; Behold, a child shall be born unto the house of David, Josiah by name [This would come to pass over three hundred years later. It is interesting, isn’t it? He said there’s one coming.]; and upon thee shall he offer the priests of the high places that burn incense upon thee, and men's bones shall be burnt upon thee" (1 Kings 13:2). He said that if you don’t believe this, there is going to be a sign. You are going to see it and this is the sign… "And he gave a sign the same day, saying, This is the sign which the Lord hath spoken; Behold, the altar shall be rent, and the ashes that are upon it shall be poured out [upon the ground]" (1 Kings 13:3).

Then Jeroboam, being smitten in his heart and his religion being opposed, said, "Stop that man! Grab that prophet!" When he stuck his hand out, it just got stiff, and he couldn’t bring it back again. Can you imagine walking around and all of a sudden…? It says his hand withered and dried up, so that he could not pull it in again. "The altar also was rent [it burst in half], and the ashes poured out from the altar, according to the sign which the man of God had given by the word of the Lord" (1 Kings 13:5). And the king said, "Hey, I’m dealing with something real here, man!" I want to tell you something; people that are propagating false religions, they know the real thing. They know the power of God when they see it. The Bible says the devils believe and tremble. They don’t obey, but they tremble. They won’t have a relationship with God, but they tremble because they know. Listen to me; even though they will not be willingly obedient, they will be made subservient. Their knees will bow. There is obedience based upon relationship, and there is obedience based upon subservience and the authority being taken over them. Aren’t you glad that, even though the demons won’t readily obey the voice of God, they have to obey the name of Jesus when we speak in faith? So they bow.

The king realized the real power of God, and he cried out recognizing that this was the man of God. He said, "Please, pray for me!" Isn’t it amazing how many hard-hearted people, when they get in trouble, ask somebody to pray for them? And we say, "No, I’m not praying for you, you lousy skuzz. You made your bed; lay in it!" No, we don’t do that! We’ll pray for them. Amen? God, peradventure You want to do something in their life; Lord, set them free and heal them! God healed him; this was not an approval of this man. This was not because he was righteous. God had a work to be done. I want you to catch that in this story, as we’re going through it. God’s—can I share something with you right now, beloved? God’s will is going to be done with or with out you. God’s will is going to be done. I don’t know about you, I just want to be included in this program. He can do it with me. He can do it without me. I choose to let Him do it with me. That is all. Nothing you do is going to wreck the plan of God. We have people that say, "Oh! If you don’t do this, it will never…" It is going to happen; you’re just going to miss out.

Now, watch what’s taking place here. He prayed. The king’s hand was healed. Because of this, the king now—and I want you to see what the king is now thinking. Two things had to be going through his mind. Number one was, "I do not want to be opposing this guy! He has more power than I have." Number two was, "I wonder if I can bring this guy and this power into my ranks, and use him for my good." So he turns to him and says, "I will tell you what. It is obvious that you’ve heard from God. We just want you to know that we accept the Word of the Lord. We accept you as a man of God. Why don’t you come join our group and fellowship with us? We can do so many things for you. After all, I am king, and I can make sure that you can come and go as you need to. Your ministry won’t be hindered." How many of you realize it wasn’t being hindered at this time? He said, "Come on and fellowship with us. Let’s break bread together. Let’s just have a little bit of fellowship. I mean, after all, there has to be something we can agree on." Is that today’s message to many of us Christians? "Let’s get together, and gather around, and see what we can agree on." No, let’s get together, find out what’s the truth, and everybody believe the same thing, praise God!

"And the king said unto the man of God, Come home with me, and refresh thyself, and I will give thee a reward" (1 Kings 13:7). "Hey, I want donate a couple of a million into your ministry. I’ll buy you a new airplane. We will get you on some television stations. We will build you some new condos. We will give you whatever you need." "And the man of God said unto the king, If thou wilt give me half thine house, I will not go in with thee, neither will I eat bread nor drink water in this place: For so was it charged me by the word of the Lord, saying, Eat no bread, nor drink water, nor turn again by the same way that thou camest" (1 Kings 13:8-9). Get that phrase; write it down in your Bibles. Underline it; get it in your notes. "For so was it charged me by the word of the Lord." Get a hold of this thing. It wasn’t a thing where he made a choice of his own, "Because I’m holier than thou," or "I think I’m better than you are." God said, "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you" (2 Corinthians 6:17). Some say, "Do you think you’re better than we are?" I’m just being obedient! God said, "Don’t hang out with you folks; don’t eat with such a one that’s causing strife in the body of Christ." I’ll take you a step further in just a moment, as we begin to see how these things relate to some practical areas of choosing to do the Word of God. He speaks, and he says, "There’s no way I’m hooking up with you. You are part of the world’s system. I am not interested! I am not going to strike and make a covenant with you because of the word of the Lord." This is admirable. This man is being offered rewards, everything in the natural, and he says he is not interested. I am not going to compromise and prostitute myself with the world’s system.

He goes in obedience to God. He is leaving town, and the Lord said, "Don’t go back the way you came." So he heads out, and a couple of men that saw what took place ran home, and they told their father. They said, "This is great! There was a prophet of God, and you should have been there. It was a great church service! You shouldn’t have stayed home, Dad. You missed what God was doing." "I don’t need to go to church; I’m a prophet. I have my own personal relationship with God. I can fellowship with Him at home." So the father was at home fellowshipping with whatever spirit was there, and the boys come home to tell him about this man of God. He said, "Wow! We haven’t heard about things like that for a while." We don’t know who these prophets are, but this old man is called a prophet. I am sure he was one of the sons of the prophets. In fact, I am very sure he was a graduate of the School of the Prophets. Amen? You can read it contextually; you can see in Samuel that they started a School of the Prophets. You will see that there was a training of these prophets that were in Israel in that day. These were men that had been there, sat under the counsel and direction of the men of God, and now, they were out doing their own thing. Here he was. He perceived himself to be a prophet. No one seemed to oppose that.

He runs after the man of God; the Scripture makes it clear. I want you to understand what is happening. He stops the man of God. The man is taking a break. He says, starting in verse 14, "And went after the man of God, and found him sitting under an oak: and he said unto him, Art thou the man of God that camest from Judah? And he said, I am. Then he said unto him, Come home with me, and eat bread. [Fellowship with us; I heard what was going on, praise God! We’ve never heard it on this wise. You’re the greatest preacher we’ve ever heard. This ministry of God and the power of God are on you. We just want to be a part of what God’s doing in your life, fellowship with you, and become a part of it. Come on home and fellowship with us!] And he said, I may not return with thee, nor go in with thee: neither will I eat bread nor drink water with thee in this place: For it was said to me by the word of the Lord, Thou shalt eat no bread nor drink water there, nor turn again to go by the way that thou camest," (1 Kings 13:14-17). He said, "Now look, brother. I know. I know what the Word says, but I’m a prophet too. I’ve received a fresh word; I have a new word. I had an angel appear to me. This angel came and said, ‘That man’s done such a good job, you need to go share this new revelation with him. Bring him back with you to your house that he may eat bread and drink water with you, and be refreshed, and receive the reward a good obedient man deserves.’"

Keep your finger there for just a moment, and turn to the book of Galatians. Start in Galatians, Chapter 1, verse 6. "I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed [Anathema in Greek; it means damned to hell]. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed [Anathema]. For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ" (Galatians 1:6-10).

How do we begin to determine these false gospels? You’re going to find that they always lean toward pleasing men; they’ll always tickle the ear. It will always make it easy on man’s flesh; it will always let man be contributing a part to his own redemption, rather than total justification and trust in Jesus Christ. It could be ordinances or little laws to keep, Jesus plus the Sabbath. It could be Jesus plus the ceremonial ordinances. We are not going to get into this aspect of it right now, but it’s obvious that Galatians was written to deal with the Judaizers of that day. They wanted to be Christians, hold onto all of the traditions of their fathers, and add the law to Jesus, when Jesus came and fulfilled it. What we’re looking at here is the revelation that says there is another gospel being preached. Let them be accursed; whether it is a man or whether it is an angel, it doesn’t make any difference.

Let’s go back to the Kings passage. We begin to see that the prophet of God said an angel had appeared to him. He was trying to give some credibility. Isn’t it tragic that this man thought if he added angelic visitations, that it would add authority to the already revealed Word of God? Is this important to you? Is this just a book? Is this just paper and ink to you, or, when you read this, is your life transformed? Do you understand that this is the word of Almighty God, and this is the word that we can eat? Does it become joy and rejoicing to our hearts? Do we understand that this becomes the bread of life, the revelation to us, and the truth of this word? As John 17 says, "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth" (John 17:17). Then, John 16 says, "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come" (John 16:13). Where is the Holy Spirit going to lead us? He will lead us to the Word of God. You’re not going to hear revelations by the Holy Spirit that are not already recorded in the Word of God. You’re not going to get something new. The Holy Ghost isn’t going to come and give you some new revelation, and you say, "Woo, boy! I needed that! I couldn’t find that anywhere in the Word." He will come and lead you to the Word. When you’re being led by the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit will be leading you to the Word. Do you hear me? It won’t be voices, visitations, and goose bumps. It is going to drive us to the Word of God, where we’re studying to show ourselves approved. We are workmen that need not be ashamed, and we are rightly dividing the word of truth. This is how we get in the will of God. We just get in here, and say, "Okay, I’m not doing that. No, I’m not doing that either. I am doing that, praise God! Now I know I’m on course for that one. Hey! Glory! There’s another one that I’m doing. Uh oh! I’m not doing that one. I’m going to pretend like that one’s not there. Let’s see…" The Spirit of God, the spirit of truth, is leading us into truth, and the more we choose to do the light, the purer the walk becomes, and the less we stumble. Then, men see our good works and glorify our Father which is in heaven.

As this story goes on, it’s very interesting that here is a man of God who obviously knows the anointing of God. He heard the Word of God, but he ended up in deception based upon—we were giving you some categories Wednesday night. Do you remember "external revelation?" This morning, what we want to do is hold up and show to you, first of all, the more sure word of prophesy. We are not here to minimize external revelation. We’re here to categorize it and put it where it belongs. That is not to say that it’s not of God, cannot be used, and cannot bring about edification. But it is not the major source of guidance in our life, and, if you ever choose external revelation over the revealed Word of God, you’re in deception and bound for destruction. Here comes this external revelation. "An angel appeared unto me." Isn’t it so easy to let men give us words from the Lord? I have people come to me; I’ve had it happen. It happens all the time. People come, and say, "Has God given you a word for me?" Yes, go to the Word. Amen? Now, God has spoken, on numerous occasions, words of wisdom, words of knowledge, and discernment of spirits. These are in operation. These ministry gifts have operated, but they are always in confirmation. They never initiate direction in a person’s life. Don’t look to anybody to give you guidance and direction in your life, except the Word of God, the Holy Spirit abiding in you, and that still, small voice saying, "Yes, this is the Word; walk in it." Your mind’s going crazy. It is saying, "No. This is the Word. Stay on course." "But everything appears to be going wrong!" "Are you doing the Word?" "Yes." "Stay on course, praise God!" "Brother, let me tell you! I had an angel appear to me. I went, and I made this decision. I’m out from all that pressure, and I’m so blessed, praise God! My business is doing great!" Your business is doing great, because you’ve gone the way of the world. You did it just like the world did, and now you are trying to draw this brother off with your revelation.

It is just like a well-known person in the body of Christ who just wrote in a well-known magazine—I’m trying to be very tactful this morning. He was talking about how he finally gave up drinking. Well, big deal! Dear God, this is supposed to be one of the pillars of the church? This is one of the men who hears from God, gives direction to the body of Christ, and he’s finally given up drinking! His whole purpose for giving it up was wrong! He didn’t give it up because he saw it in the Word of God. He gave it up because one of his family members was finally harmed by it. Well, I’ve known family members being harmed by it for a long time, and I also see the revelation in the Word of God. It says, "And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit" (Ephesians 5:18). "Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise" (Proverbs 20:1). I mean, do you need revelation beyond that? Give me a break! After all of these years, this man finally, because of external revelation, because a family member was harmed by this, makes the choice to say that he is going to swear it off. Circumstances will change; deception has come into that man’s life. He thinks he’s made a decision based upon the Spirit of God, and then, he goes on to make this distinction, "However, I’m not telling the rest of you to stop, because you’re free in the spirit." Can you put it up against this story and find it? It is "the priests of the lower sort" and "a day of worship established out of one’s own divisions of his own heart." He was devising his own standards from his own heart. Beloved, God has given us standards, and none of us has any right to declare anything lower than what God has declared as the mandate for walking in the truth and walking by His Spirit.

What is going to happen is that we are going to be deceived. We are going to run around and tell brothers, "Now, brother. Let me just share with you. I’m not going to put any bondage on you. You’re free in the spirit." I want to tell you something: if you’re free in the spirit, you’re free from drinking. You’re free from drugs. You’re free from fornication. You’re free from adultery. You are free because those things were dictated to by your lusts, and the old man has been destroyed. The body of sin has been destroyed, and, henceforth, we are no longer under sin’s power. Old things have passed away, and all things have become new. You might fall into sin and take a drink. You might fall into sin and get drunk. You might fall into sin and commit adultery. But I want to tell you something: you don’t try to justify it. You don’t say it is right; you don’t say it is liberty in the spirit. You say it is sin, and it has no place in my life or anybody else’s. I think it grieves me that it is being set up as a standard of walking in the will of God and hearing the spirit. It’s sad. I won’t tell you the name of the magazine, but it is a Greek word for "gifts." Now, can you imagine? It is sickening; it is a magazine for spirit-filled believers! What spirit and what are you filled with? I think it’s time for us to get back to the more sure word, and allow God’s standards for priests to be followed. It is time to get away from man’s altars at Bethel, return to the place where God has chosen to put His name, and then, begin to walk free in the spirit. We are not free to cater to our lusts; we are free to cause them to be subservient to the Spirit of God living in us.

Here is the principle I want you to see. This was man who could not be taken in by the world’s system. The king said, "Come and eat with me." He said, "No way, Jack! I am not doing it your way." But he was susceptible to spiritual deception. We have a word we use all the time; we know what it means. I don’t know if you’ve ever heard it referred to this way. We call them the "Woo-Woos." They are the "Woo-Woo Christians" and "Ozone Floaters." Everything is spooky; "The Lord told me." There are certain people; I don’t know if they’re necessarily categorized as "Woo-Woos." It may just be their terminology, but there was a time that it really concerned me. You would always hear, "The Lord told me, and the Lord told me, and the Lord told me, and the Lord told me, and the Lord told me, and the Lord told me." And I thought, "Dear God. I’ve been saved for twenty-plus years. They hear more in an afternoon than I’ve heard in twenty years!" Do you know what they are hearing? They are hearing "green beans," "Del Monte," and all these great revelations of life. They think that every thought that comes into their head is the Lord. It’s tragic, because with every impression they get, they say, "This must be the Lord. This is the Lord. This is the Lord. This is the Lord." And you think, "Dear God. These people are running on a figure-eight track!" You are looking at this, and they really believe they’re hearing from God. They would not for a moment go to the king’s house. But if any prophet shows up and says they heard from an angel, they’re hot after his trail. "Yup, this guy’s heard from God." There they go chasing him! "Oh! That’s the Lord; that’s the Lord!" We’ve already heard from God. The man already had the Word of God. He didn’t need a prophet. He didn’t need an angel. God had already spoken; that’s why the apostle said, "Be followers of me as I follow Christ." That’s what Paul said, "I don’t have any new revelations. I don’t have anything new. I’m following Jesus; come with me. Follow me as I follow Christ. If I don’t follow Christ, don’t follow me. Get lost."

Tragically, we know the story. This is the bottom line of the whole thing—we’re just about out of time. Look at verse 18; look at the last phrase. "He said unto him, I am a prophet also as thou art; and an angel spake unto me by the word of the Lord, saying, Bring him back with thee into thine house, that he may eat bread and drink water. But he lied unto him" (1 Kings 13:18). You can call it anything you want; it’s a lie. You can try and wrap it up, and say "Well, you know… After all, they don’t have the revelation that others have." It’s a lie. If it’s opposing the Word of God, it’s a lie. These well-meaning "brothers" and "Christians" are filling up these other churches, and they say the baptism in the Holy Ghost is of the devil. It’s a lie! They’re deceived, and they’re preaching another gospel. I don’t care that they’re out knocking on doors and filling up their churches. What they’re propagating is a lie. It needs to change! The reason so many of them are going that way is because so many "Woo-Woos" have run around and acted like idiots, that they say, "I don’t want any part of that. All they can do is hear revelations and voices. They don’t stand for the Word." "We stand for the Word." "Yeah, but not all of it." Thank God that there is a remnant around that is not like a bunch of squirrels running around and following every voice. They believe the Word of God. They are not governed by their own lusts and their own emotions. The Word of God is directing them; they believe it all.

The remnant believes that this Word is profitable. Amen? It’s profitable for what? It is profitable for doctrine. Do all of you understand that this is profitable for doctrine? Doctrine is not a bad word; we need to know what the doctrine of Jesus Christ is, and we need to walk in it. What else is it profitable for? It is profitable for reproof. It’s also profitable for correction. It’s interesting; two of them have to do with cleaning-up your act. Amen? It is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, and then fourthly, instruction unto righteousness that the man of God may be perfect and thoroughly furnished unto every good work. This is a good book! Amen? That’s what this thing is for. With this Word then, we’re beginning to be purified. We have proper doctrine. We have clean lives. We are being perfected and thoroughly furnished unto every good work. Faith brings good works that bring moral lives. It means that your doctrine is correct, just because you say, "Yeah, this is the Word. I am going to do it." Ever since I was saved, all I’ve done is just open this thing, and say, "That’s simple." "Yeah, but…" "Hey! Don’t bother me. I’m reading my book, and I’m doing what it says." " How do you know that’s the right interpretation?" "Because that’s what it said." Interpret this—I just happened to stop at a passage, so we’ll throw it out here. It is "Bible Roulette." "Give me your word, Lord!" God can speak that way. I think you’d probably have a better chance at roulette though. What are the odds? Are they thirty-five to one? I come from a gambling family. Your odds mean a lot; your odds—you’d be better at hitting the lotto, rather than thinking you’re going to actually get purer revelation from God by throwing this thing open, and saying, "Okay. Speak, Lord. ‘Judas went out and hanged himself.’ Then,’ Go thou and do likewise.’" You’re in trouble! Amen?

Have you ever heard of "Promise Boxes"? I like the story this man told. When they were bombing over in London, people were under the tables, and the bombs were falling. This man says, "I need to hear a word from the Lord." He reached up on his table and pulled out his promise. He looked at it, and it said, "…Though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry" (Habakkuk 2:3). Of course, that’s in reference to the coming of the Holy Spirit, but we realize that that is not how we get guidance. Yet, at any time, I can open up this Bible, and it’s real to me.

That’s interesting. I turned back to the exact same passage. It is in 2 Kings, Chapter 6. It says, "And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha" (2 Kings 6:16-17). Now, that’s real, and that’s real for me right now. I can take that revelation, apply it to anything in my life right now, and say that is the Word of the Lord to me, praise God! There is more for me than there are for them. Greater is He that’s in me than he that’s in the world. If God be for us, who can be against us? In all these things I am more than a conqueror! That’s truth. We walk in the light, and the power, and the hope, and the trust in that. So therefore, I don’t need to say, "God, speak! I’m surrounded by the enemy. Oh, God! I need a word!" You already have the word. There’s more for us than there are for them. If that’s real to you, praise God that the reality of it is brought to your remembrance by the Holy Spirit. When the pressure is on, if it’s already real to you, you don’t need some "Bible roulette" visitation or some prophet to come up and say an angel appeared to him, because the revelation is already in hand.

Tonight, we are going to talk a little bit about angels, guidance, and how they are to work in conjunction with the revealed will of God. Here, we find a man, a prophet saying, "An angel appeared to me." Yet it was contrary to the Word of the Lord. Therefore, the thing that we are learning this morning is this: no message from any angel or any man of God will ever contradict what God has already clearly spoken. God had spoken to this man; God had given him clear revelation of what was to take place and confirmed the word that came first. Then, what happened? The splitting of the altar was not God saying to the man of God, "Here, I’m going to do a little trick for you, and you’ll know that it’s Me." Who was the sign to? Do you see? People that believe the Word and walk in it do not need signs. The signs are speaking to those on the periphery. They are confirming the Word. Jesus said, "I will confirm the word that you speak with—what? It is confirmed with signs following." That’s what Mark 16 tells us. The signs are confirmations of the spoken word. As the man of God went and spoke the word, the sign followed.

Now, watch. I don’t even know if I ought to get into this right now. To stay safe, this man needed to clear his spiritual perception until he cleared the borders of that land. Once I’ve received specific revelation, until this job is done, anything that comes to me must be opposition, because God doesn’t get caught by surprise. Once he stepped over the border, a prophet came to him. He said, "I’ve heard from the Lord. I have a word for you from the Lord." Then, I would say, "Let me have it, and I’ll pray about this thing. I’ll compare it." But, if he gets me on this side of the border where God said, "Don’t you stop. Don’t eat. Don’t drink, until you leave this land," I will not hear, or stop, or "collect two hundred dollars." I will do nothing until I get over to the other side and fulfill what God has already revealed to me as His Word. If you’ll walk that way, you’ll walk in peace, in victory, and in safety. You are going to be free from deception. But, if you’re always hearing, "Oh, I got another word. Oh, I got another word. Oh, I’ve got another…," and you haven’t done anything, you haven’t finished anything for God. All you’re doing is following voices, and revelations, and directions. You have never finished what God spoke to you. What has God told you to do? "Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it" (1 Thessalonians 5:24). God watches over His Word. He performs it. Proverbs 4 says, "I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths" (Proverbs 4:11). We need to receive that and allow Him to lead us by His Spirit.

Father, we thank You for the Word. We just thank You that Your presence is with us, and that the Word of the Lord has come to us. As we’ve studied Your Word, we saw that the spirit of man is the candle of the Lord. You are going to speak and reveal to us, from the inner man, the words of God. You said, "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God" (Romans 8:14). Father, the seal of our son-ship is our ability to obey You, to be led of Your Spirit, and not to be led of our own mind and our own lusts. As many as are led, that tells us that the Spirit is leading us to truth. Our steps are being ordered of You, Lord. You are conscious of our everyday walk. By the Spirit of God, the Spirit of truth leads us to the Word. "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God" (Romans 8:14). As many as will allow the Word of God to dominate their minds and their actions, they are the sons of God. Those that chose the revelation over their own flesh, over the circumstances, and over pressures of life, they are the sons of God. Father, we thank You that, as sons, heirs, and joint-heirs with Jesus Christ, we can stand before You and know with boldness the Holy of Holies by the blood of Jesus, and we say thank You for Your visitation. We say thank You for our privilege to know You, and fellowship with You, and to walk in power and might by Your presence. I thank You, Lord, that we are not left up to indecisions and deceptions, but that there is a course that You’ve put us on as men and women of righteousness. By Your Spirit, You are continually telling us, "This is the way; walk in it. This is the way; walk in it. This is the way; walk in it." Lord, as we prepare our hearts to receive ministry of Your Spirit now, in this session this evening, we know that You have a word for us. Father, we know where the Spirit of God is taking us: to free people from thinking that their own imaginations are the voice of the Spirit, and from "fads" that are in Christendom and in the church. Father, there is a word that You have for us that’ll make us free and free indeed! We ask You to give us ears to hear what the Holy Spirit is saying to the church, and give us the heart of the Berean to study and to find out whether these things be so or not. Father, let us walk in them and allow Your Word to be confirmed with signs following in our lives. That is our heart’s desire, Father. We ask it to be done in Jesus’ name; amen.

Hallelujah! There is a specific word that the Lord’s given us, that we’re going to share with you tonight, and it’s going to bless you in the thing that you’ve been looking to God for direction. Right now, there is a possibility that some of us have been struggling, and our minds are in chaos because of the voices that are crying out. The world’s screaming one thing, and your counselors are screaming something else. Your own heart is trying to speak, and there’s confusion. We’re going to pray and believe God with you right now. The Scripture says, "Be still and know that I am God." When you don’t have clear direction, be still. "But I’ve got to do something, or it will all come apart." If you do something, it’s all going to come apart. It’s time to be still. It’s time to rest. It’s time to hear the voice of God. If you quiet yourself down and realize that whatever fails, and falls, and is destroyed, it’s not of God. "Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain" (Psalms 127:1). There’s not one thing that God’s ordained for your life that will not come to pass, if you have a heart to be obedient to Him. The Bible says that anything that may be devoured by the enemy right now, the Lord’s presence will restore the year of the locust. Any compromise that you make to try and save anything now will cost you, because unless it falls into the ground and dies, it abides alone. But if you offer it up to God, it will be turned back, and it’ll bring a hundredfold. Whatever is offered to Him, relationships, businesses—some of you may be being pressured in relationships by others who say, "If you don’t make a decision now…" If you haven’t heard from God, just rest. If it is financial pressure, just rest. If it is a physical need… "If you don’t take this pill right now, you’ll die. You’ll self-destruct." If you haven’t heard from God, just rest. If you were supposed to have taken it, He would have told you. If it is not time, just rest. If you haven’t heard clearly, go on the last revelation you had. That was clear, so rest. He’ll speak again. We are going to deal with that tonight. Until then, if you have a need, you’re under the pressures of life, you want someone to stand with you, believe God, and speak the peace of God on you, or you need healing in your body, then the Spirit of God is here to minister to whatever your need is.

Let’s all stand together. Those that have a need, come right now. God’s Spirit is here. If you are here this morning, you don’t know Jesus as your personal savior, Satan is tormenting you, you don’t know whether you’re a child of God or not, you don’t know whether you’re born again, you don’t know whether your sins are forgiven, and you want to know that you’re right with God, come. You may be backslidden. You are here this morning, you know your life’s out of order, and you want to make it right. You come right now, whatever your need is. As we begin to sing this chorus, you come in the name of Jesus. Brethren, come with them. We’re going to pray and believe God together.

(Singing) "Be still and know that I am God…"

Whatever the need is, come and receive what the Spirit of God has for you this morning. Do you need healing in your body? You come and believe God; allow that anointing to flow into you in the name of Jesus. Glory to God! Brethren, let’s just begin to pray for those that have come; extend your hands toward these that have come. Let’s begin to break down principalities, powers, and spirits of confusion that are lying to the children of God. These physical infirmities, they have to come down in the name of Jesus. Oh, thank You for it, Father! Thank You for it, Father. We thank You for peace in the name of Jesus. You’ve been battling discouragement. You need to be here. Receive the admonition of the Spirit of God; ask a brother or sister to stand with you and lift up your hands, praise God! Thank You for the more sure Word. Thank You for the more sure Word. Father, we thank You that You watch over Your Word, and You perform it. We thank You that every promise of God in Jesus Christ is yea and amen to us, as we rest in the promises, and we obey the Word of God. Lord, we choose to stand. Father, we thank You that Your words are sure to a thousand generations, and that You watch over Your Word and You perform it. We rest in that, Lord. We choose the Word of God over circumstances, over our emotions, and over the pressures of life. We choose the Word as truth, and anything that opposes it is a lie, in Jesus’ name, in Jesus’ name, in Jesus’ name. Let’s thank Him for what He’s done this morning, as He’s revealed His Word to us. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Thank You, Lord!

(Singing) "Come into the holy of holies…"

Lift your hands, because the Word says so, not because we feel like it. But as the evening sacrifice, we lift holy hands. Hallelujah! We worship You, Lord! Just lift up your hands and worship Him. I thank You, Lord, that Your Word is the source of truth in my life. I thank You that Your Word directs my path. It is a lamp unto my feet. Lord, I thank You that I walk in the light of Your Word, and there’s no occasion for stumbling. I thank You because You’re for me; nobody can be against me. Lord, I thank You that every promise of God in Christ Jesus is yea and amen. Thank You, Jesus! Oh, thank You Jesus; thank You Jesus! Glory to God! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Glory to You, Father! Praise You, Lord!

Turn to about two or three people around you and say, "I’m a doer of the word." Praise God. Go in peace. God’s love go with you, in the name of Jesus.
