Just allow the Lord to continue to encourage our hearts and stir us with His words and the great privilege that we have of accessing the throne of God. Every time you read these words in Matthew, the words of the Lord, there are no more effectual words than those that come to our hearts from the Lord Himself, He who really is touched with the feelings of our infirmities. You know, I think when we identify with His lordship and His humanity we see the fullness of the godhead bodily expressed in Him, but we see the empathy of God and His triune being expressed in Jesus.
Because of that there is such a love and appreciation for His words, those that He speaks experientially having been tempted in every way such as we are and yet without sin the Scripture says, so when He was asked by the disciples to teach them how to pray, you have to remember, that He was a man just like you and I. He hungered, He thirsted, and yet when you study the Scriptures when the disciples slept, He prayed all night. He would separate Himself from them, the Scripture says. I think you need to understand that a life of prayer will separate you from other people. It will make you different. It's something, when everybody else is hanging out you are choosing to be with Father. Now He wasn't antisocial. He spent time with them and fellowshipped and communed, but on top of all that there was bread to eat that others didn't know anything about and He would find that time to commune with His Father and to be strengthened for the task that was at hand.
When He speaks these words, He speaks as one who knows how to pray. He speaks as a man to you and I who wrestles with physical infirmities and weaknesses, who is hindered by all the physical appetites of hunger and sleep and those things that would contend for our prayer time. So the disciples then in wanting to know how to pray, heard the Master speak to them concerning the different principles that we have been going over. He said most importantly you've got to understand, who it is that you are speaking to, you're accessing a Father that loves you, a Father that knows what you have need of before you even ask verse 8 tells us. Father's touched with our needs and He said that whatever we ask in Jesus' Name, He'd do it that the Father might be glorified in the Son.
He said (Matthew 6:9) "After this manner therefore pray ye : Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed by thy name. Thy kingdom come. [We've been seeing that one of the most important parts of this is the next phrase.] Thy will be done..." Now we're going to talk about that during Wednesday night's session, about praying according to the will of God. We're talking now about appropriating the bold access that's been given us by the Blood of Jesus, of knowing that we're commanded to come, and how to come with confidence and boldly, knowing that Father invites us and that He is ever aware of the need that is at hand, He says that if you'll come and ask for bread you won't receive a stone. And if you ask for fish you're not going to receive a serpent. Your Father knows what things you have need of. He says in coming to prayer then you'll be able to learn a lot about yourself, because where your treasure is that's where your heart is also. Prayer reveals our hearts. It reveals where our real treasures are and what seems important to us at the time.
In the context of this 6th Chapter of Matthew He says, no man can serve two masters. You can't serve God and Mammon. That tells me that the Lord is aware of our natural tendency to pray about mammon, about stuff. Mammon is stuff, it's what's natural, and it's our self-perception of our needs rather than the reality of our needs. It's the treasures that the world deems precious and the accumulation of raiment, and food and the increase of shelter. The Lord speaks and says you can't serve God and mammon, "...I say unto you, [verse 25 and this is important to us as we've been talking about this] I say unto you, Take no thought for your life..."
So when we're talking about boldly coming to the Lord and being able to realize that his hand is stretched out to all flesh and we receive that goodness at His hand. When we heard the admonition from the prophet this morning, that when we sought Him with all of our hearts then we would find Him, we've got to make a distinction between searching for stuff and what God is able to provide and seeking the real heart of God and the eternal purpose of God. He says make sure that when you come your motives are right and that you're not seeking for the things of this world, the temporal things. You're not there because you're worried or taken up with life or food or drink or raiment. He gives to us the revelation that not only is God aware of what we have need of, but He wants to give us exceedingly abundantly.
Now He's not talking about an abundance of stuff, He's talking about another life and another standard that will bring you peace. We seem to think that another piece of raiment will satisfy us and He says don't you understand that "...Solomon in all of his glory was not arrayed like one of these" (verse 29). The flowers of the field, the very lilies of the valley. Solomon and all of his glory, Jesus goes on to say, never matched their beauty. And they didn't do anything to obtain it. They didn't pray about it. They didn't pursue it. They didn't comprise their lives. "Are ye not much better than they?" ("More precious than they," verse 26 says]
Don't you understand the value that God has on our lives and how He wants us to be partakers of His beauty, to let Him choose how to bring raiment to us? I tell you beloved, there is no better raiment than the robe of righteousness. Amen? We need to understand that Father knows what we have need of. He goes on to speak to us and says that if you get caught up in all of those things then you're men and women verse 30 of little faith or useless faith is a better way to put that. It's faith that doesn't produce anything for the glory of God. It's wild grapes as we spoke of in our other session.
But He said if you begin to "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and your minds through Christ Jesus. [Then you'll think on these things.] Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, thing on these things" (Philippians 4:6-8). So when we're getting ready to pray, if we're not worried about what the world has to offer and what we think we want, but we're thinking on the things of Philippians, and we're not anxious about all of this, Jesus is teaching us that same principle here and He says, look, if you're not anxious about life, raiment, food and drink, if you're taking no thought, [Matthew 6, verse 31], for these things knowing that your Father, [verse 32], is aware that you have need of them, you're going to then be compelled to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and you're absolutely confident that all of the necessities of life and all of the abundance that God might choose to put upon you are as sure as His word.
Sure to a thousand generations that you will not beg bread. "Take therefore no thought [verse 34] for the morrow: [that that's controlling natural man's processes] for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof." You don't know that you have tomorrow, let's be right in the eternal things today. Why be distracted by the temporal things of tomorrow when it may not even come? Are you right with God today? Are you at peace in your heart today? Is Father your provider at this very moment? What are the real treasures, Jesus is saying, of your heart?
When we were looking at that in light of the session this morning, we were talking about the bold access we have and seeing God as the total source and provider of all that we have need of. We saw that there was a need of diligence in our lives, that He is a rewarder of those then that would diligently seek Him. We paralleled that with the sovereignty of God and the promises of God and our need to pray and intercede and that was where we left off this morning. We were talking about that pursuit of God, the diligence of appropriating the eternal things that really are going to bring more glory to Him. In that process, as we were talking about the diligent pursuit, we talked about it in the areas of ministry. Let's turn over to Ephesians for just a moment and we'll pick up our study for tonight.
As we're looking in the Ephesians passage and things that we're supposed to be praying about--now remember what we're saying here is this, don't spend your time and energy on the temporal things. Don't worry about that stuff. God knows what you have need of. Seek the kingdom first. I believe what the Master is saying to us is this, that with the same diligence you pursue the eternal you become a candidate for the temporal. Now that doesn't mean that you're going to be rich or not have any problems in life. I'm not saying that. I'm talking about, there's a candidacy for it, because the reality is this: He's not going to reward evil hearts, and He's not going to have His ear open to the cry of the wicked or those that are seeking to consume things on themselves. You can hinder yourself by that kind of a heart attitude, but you can make yourself a candidate for God's sovereignty to manifest itself in your life in abundance should He choose. We made reference to that a little bit this morning. In the Scriptures began to see that He rewards us justly. Does not the Judge of all of the earth do right? You see the reason so many people get caught up in praying for the temporal is that they don't think that they are getting their piece of the pie. They don't understand why the Jeffersons are getting to move up and they're not. So they go to God and they think, maybe Lord You missed out on me down here, you know, and maybe the Jeffersons had a better PR program going on. Maybe they just cried out louder. Maybe I need to make myself more visible and that doesn't have anything to do with it. You have to believe that the Judge of all the earth does right and that we then seek Him concerning these things that are the eternal. When you do, He rewards us openly in the temporal. What is it that God wants you to pray about? That's what we're talking about tonight. What is it that He wants you to diligently pursue?
So in Ephesians Chapter 6 we begin to find these couple of verses. Now remember the context of this, it's following the armor of God. We've taught on subjects in the past. It's been awhile since we taught on this subject. We might deal with that in the near future. When you study the armor of God, the one thing you will find out that this is prayer armor. It's armor that we have to put on, on a daily basis to go out and resist the enemy and watch him flee from us. Why do we say it's prayer armor? Because of these verses that say once you put it on you're now prepared to be a prayer warrior. Our lives are lives of prayer. We're to pray without ceasing. Men ought always to pray and not to faint. When He talks about putting on the armor of God, and we're very familiar with all of the pieces of armor, but what's the armor in total for? When we adorn ourselves with the helmet of salvation and the breastplate of righteousness, loins gird about with truth, our feet shod with the preparations of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the sword of the spirit, when we find this in place, it says then, when that Word of God, that sword, that two edged sword that protrudes from the mouth of God, when that sword is taken into your own spirit and spoken by faith out of your mouth, there is great and effectual benefit.
When you're adorned in this armor, he says, and you take the Word of God, look at verse 18, "Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints..." You will pray always, praying always. When you're walking in the spirit and you're adorned in the armor of God, you will pray always. You'll pray without ceasing. You'll understand the magnitude of what it means to pray and not to faint. So, here we are adorning ourselves with the ability of God and the presence of God and He says you'll pray then without ceasing. Praying always that word "always" just means at every occasion. Is that part of your life really? I think most of us experientially live that way. You know, that prayer for us is not just the little time of devotions in the morning and prayer here in the evening. I think everyone of us lives our lives daily in the posture of prayer or the attitude of prayer, the practicing of the presence of God. Are we ever listening for that voice of God that speaks and says this is the way walk in it? When you're getting ready to make a deal you're prayerfully understanding, am I honoring God? Is this something Lord that You're initiating in my life? You're getting ready on the job to make a decision to go to the right hand or the left it doesn't matter it can be a very mundane thing, but you're prayerfully listening and waiting for the voice of God that will give us great success. We can go ahead with speed and everything our hand touches prospers because we're hearing that still small voice. Or that God's protecting us, and we go based upon that voice, we're able to walk and have confidence that God is ordering our steps and prayerfully not only are we successful now but we are walking in safety and God protects us.
Praying always. Now that doesn't mean that you're getting ready to close a deal and you say, "Can you wait a minute? Let's bow our heads and pray." I'm not talking about that. Prayer is not posture. Prayer is not necessarily audible articulation. Prayer is the awareness of the presence and the purpose of God, at every moment of our lives. Because, He says here when this armor is upon us, we pray always with all prayer. So there's different kinds of prayer. We've studied that out. We're not going to go into all of the specifics on it at this moment, but we understand that prayer has to do with worship. We know that prayer has to do with petition. We know that prayer has to do with intercession. We know that prayer has to do with sensitivity of guidance and hearing the directives of the Lord. So there's many different aspects to prayer, but primarily prayer is the practicing of His presence and His purposes. So you pray always at every occasion. That tells me something. That says that without Him we can do nothing. That says that without prayer we can do nothing. Do you pray about everything? I don't mean that you even have to speak it under your breath, "Lord what would You have me do?" I'm talking about a consciousness that I can't do my own thing. I'm not living for my own glory and my own purposes. I'm here to bring honor to God. And because of the awareness of the sacredness of this mission we become aware that we are ambassadors and that there's power that's going to back us in our representation.
I heard just a small segment of a statement by our Secretary of State, Madeline Albright, this afternoon, where she was talking about the fact that in her own that she's seen by many in her gender and because of that, and there are things that because of her gender that she emphasized, she said that when she went forth others didn't see her as a woman, they saw her as a representative of the United States. As bad as that may have been, that's how she was perceived and that's the truth. They were talking about it in relationship to Colin Powell's appointment and whether or not race will be an issue. She said, "Of course race will not be an issue, no more than gender was in my state. It may be an issue in their minds but when I speak, the nation's spoke. I was it's representative." Therefore, it doesn't really matter what others perceive, it's how you see yourself and who you really are. As she spoke the immediate thought came to my mind concerning us as ambassadors of Christ. Many of us have our own weaknesses and our own little hang-ups and other people may see us in one vain or another but the reality of this is, beloved, you and I are ambassadors of Christ. Amen? When we speak, we speak for the kingdom of God and the power and the authority of the throne of God. When we decree the will of God in the Name of Jesus the Lord Himself has spoken. Do you believe that? That's prayer. That's what this 18th verse is talking about as we pray. "...always with all prayer and supplication..." That word "supplication" is an interesting word. It just means detailed or itemized specific speaking. I think it's important that we see it for what it is. Supplication, true biblical supplication, is speaking the specifics of the word spoken to you. You remember we shared this morning how faith comes. It comes by the hearing or the audience with God and His specific declaration of His promise to you, specifically at this time, at this moment in your life. When God speaks specifically, purposefully into your life, faith will rise in your heart and when you then supplicate or you speak and you pray and as we shared this morning, you get in agreement with God and you say what God says, biblical confession, saying the same thing--Dear Lord, how that was taken by the faith movement and distorted. The "blab it and grab it" group. Seeming to think that confession was somehow grab bagging a promise from the concordance and then just saying it and believing you'd have it. Not understanding at all that it is initiated in the heart of God for the glory of God, for eternal purposes.
When you understand all of that and we then get into agreement with God and speak what He's saying, we begin to pray in true supplication or a true itemized, detailed declaration of what God said. Listen, itemized, detailed that means you don't add to it and you don't take away from it. What the rhema or the word spoken to you said, you're responsible to say. You can't pick and choose what part of it you want to do. You can't add to it and you can't take away from it. When this becomes reality in your heart and God begins to speak to you in prayer and you represent Him in prayer, you begin to pray as we saw in Jeremiah and Daniel today, you pray about the sovereign declaration of what God said is already going to happen. You pray with diligence. Did you notice that not only was it something sovereign that God said would happen and not only did they pray with great diligence but they even fasted. It wasn't going to make it any more sure, because it was going to happen. The fasting isn't to move God, the fasting is to prepare us, to make us more sensitive, to make us more aware of the responsibility of representing His kingdom and not our own.
"Praying always with all prayer and supplication..." Definite, detailed, itemized representation of the declared will of God. And he says make your prayer and supplication in the Spirit, "We don't know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit prays through us..." Romans says with groaning which cannot be uttered. He says then, I want you to realize that there needs to be a watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. A watching here, don't allow yourself to be wooed to sleep. Be ever on guard. Beloved, prayer is that awareness of being on guard and making sure that there is no occasion for the flesh that's rising in your life. That you're not being deceived and caught up in every wind of doctrine, that you're not being pulled into the world's system with the foolish who want you to run with them and are rich through their violence and their persecution of others and their idolatry of self and wealth and their lascivious party spirit, but you watch. What did the Master say? Watch and pray that you don't - what? - fall into temptation. You see, it's not enough just to say, "And lead us not into temptation," you need to watch and pray. When you're saying "lead me not into temptation," what you're saying is this: Give me grace to watch and pray. Give me strength to discipline myself to be on guard at all times to be aware of the environment around me and see who it is with my armor on that's here to attack me. Be very careful. Some of the greatest enemies that you have are those that call themselves Christians, that want you to come and serve other gods, that would solicit you to run and play instead of watch and pray. It's so important that we adorn ourselves in this armor and understand the process that God's called us to.
So many people emphasize, as you study this, prayer aspect of supplication. They talk about it "for all the saints" and they're big into intercession and we should pray for our brothers and sisters. The way you pray for them is this, you don't pray that God would somehow affect your agenda or theirs. But you pray that they would become more like Jesus. You pray that God's purpose would be affected in their lives. You don't know what God wants for them. You don't even know what God wants for you. How are you going to pray what God wants for somebody else? So many of us think that intercession is just, "Oh Jesus just bless them. Lord give them that job. Give them that spouse. Give them that house. Give them that car. Give them, give them, give them, give them. Lord do this and give them that." You don't know what they need. They don't even know what they need. They don't know their heart. How can you know their heart? So as we pray and intercede for others with all prayer and supplication in the spirit, we're praying in these areas saying, "Lord cause your purposes, cause Your will to be affected in their life. Jesus, whatever's necessary to make them more like You Lord. I thank You that You're pruning them and purging them that they might bring forth more fruit." So we don't speak specific things and declare what we think others need. We pray for these eternal purposes.
Paul did say one of the things you are to pray about here though. He said pray for me also. Pray for your brothers and sisters and intercede for them and understand that God wants them to be in health and prosper. You can pray for that to be affected according to His eternal purposes. "And [pray] for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel" (verse 19). You want to know what you can pray for people? You can pray for that. "Lord, give them a boldness to open their mouth boldly. Lord cause them to open their mouth with all boldness to proclaim the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Lord give them grace to walk outside the natural fears of men's faces and outside the comfort zone of what this world is offering and give them a boldness to stand and declare who we really are and what kingdom we represent." That's how you can pray for brothers and sisters. That's how you can pray for the servants of God. Pray for me for I am an ambassador in bonds. Pray that I may speak boldly as I ought to speak. This is the apostle Paul saying, I need that prayer. I want you to intercede for me that I can speak in boldness. Paul had that tendency. There were those times that he wanted to shy away also. There's those times when he was tired. He would just as soon not be beaten and imprisoned. So, we begin to pray that God would grant that boldness.
Look over at the 3rd Chapter of Ephesians since we are talking about that. In Chapter 3 of Ephesians, verses 11 and 12 he's talking about the call of God on his life and being made a minister of the gospel, verse7. That comes by the call and the gift and the power. He said I want to be able to bring to all men the clear understanding of the mystery. And then he says in this 3rd Chapter, he says I want you to pray also that according to the eternal purpose that which he purposed in Christ Jesus. We would understand that it's in Him that we have boldness and access with confidence through his faith. We're talking about that bold access and the confidence, the boldness to proclaim. Where does it come from? It's through an awareness that Jesus Himself is the source. That we are the ambassadors. That we're to ever be aware, as Paul is declaring in this 3rd Chapter, of what our mission is that this is a call upon us and that we don't have any other alternatives.
Paul says again over in Colossians, turn over there and look throughout the epistles here as he is writing by the spirit and you're seeing the harmony of this. Colossians Chapter 4, he says again, in verse 2, "Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving..." See the word "continue"? It just means to be strong or endure. We talked about watching. Look at the things that he's wanting to get across to us here. We're talking about watching. Now we're talking about continuing. There's a discipline in prayer. It's not something that comes easy or natural to the flesh. The utterance in this service this evening concerning the house of the Lord being the house of prayer, and how the Word of God is that that chastens and drives out the flesh and the money changers. It is the scourge. The Word is the scourge that disciplines our flesh and says, don't despise the house of God, the house of prayer. The flesh will want to play all the games of the world but you're going to have to continue in prayer. Discipline yourself. Be strong in prayer and watch. There it is again. It just means be awake. Be alert. You remember in the garden when the Lord gave that admonition to watch and pray that you don't enter into temptation. He said watch and what did they do? They slept.
Tragically many of us when we hear the admonition of the Lord such as we're hearing in these services to watch, now be aware of the hour that we are in and the circumstances that are upon us. See you've got to understand something. If you've noticed, those of you that have been here through the years, we'll be teaching and we're moving along and all the sudden we'll go another direction. We may right in the middle of another session, we pull up out of that and we go into something else. Why is that? Because we teach to the need of the body. We teach in direct relationship to what the Holy Spirit is telling us is upon us at that particular moment. So when there's an admonition coming like this, it isn't time for you to sit back and think, "Well, yeah okay, but I'm doing pretty good right now." I'm telling you it's time to watch. It's time to put the armor on. We're living in a great time of spiritual opposition and danger in the spirit realm. The thing we've said over and over again, beloved, listen to me, the very method of anti-Christ that's going to destroy is going to be through the prosperity of the hour. Through prosperity he will destroy them. The man that's prayerful understands where he is in the midst of all of this and where his real treasures are and what has hold of his life. Whether or not the cares and deceits of this world have entered in and choked the Word of God out of his life. Watch. Be awake. Be on guard. With thanksgiving, it's not a drudgery it's a privilege to be able to go and represent the kingdom of God. We haven't given up anything for the Lord. We've gained the great position of sonship, heirs and joint heirs with Christ Jesus. What a privilege, what a delight to be able to move in that kind of an admonition. With all diligence we just continue to pursue the presence of God.
As you read through the Scriptures, you begin to realize that there is a boldness and an assurance that God gives us. Just before we take time at the Lord's table this evening, turn over to Hebrews Chapter 10. He's talking about the bold access that we have and that diligence that's to be upon us. Thessalonians says don't sleep as others, but watch and be sober. Don't let that day come upon you unawares. In Hebrews Chapter 10 we find the Spirit of the Lord speaking to us and again these classic verses, verse 19: "Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus." You know as we get ready to sit at the Lord's table, this Blood that we acknowledge tonight that cleanses us from all sin, when we choose to walk in the light as He is in the light, we have communion, oneness with Him, unification with Him, singleness of heart and purpose with Him. The Blood of Jesus then, I John says, cleanses us from all of our sin. This bold access, beloved, it didn't come cheaply. The privilege for you to pray, listen to me, the privilege for you to open your mouth and utter one word in the presence of God took the life of Jesus to purchase. Every time you access God, it's because of the Blood that you have the privilege of being there. Every answered prayer comes to you at the price of the Blood of the spotless Lamb of God.
"Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; And having an high priest over the house of God; Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. [And] Let us hold fast the profession of our faith [that declaration of the Word that we were talking about] without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together..." (verses 19 - 25). Let us consider one another to provoke one another unto prayer, unto watching, unto supplication. Let us not forsake the assembling of ourselves together, in the house of prayer. Let's not get caught up in the money changers and the idols of this world, but let us provoke one another because His house shall be called the house of prayer.
Father, we thank You for the Word of God and as Your Spirit speaks to us and stirs our hearts in this hour, the need to watch and to pray and to adorn ourselves in the full armor of God. When we understand the privilege of prayer and the mandate of prayer, when we see that prayer goes far beyond personal privilege and gain that it's a vehicle used to affect the kingdom of God in the earth. When we realize that we do pray for the saints, but that the prayer is that their mouths would be opened with great boldness to proclaim this glorious gospel, the resurrection of Jesus. That we would pray effectually one for another. That we would pray that there would be a holy boldness in the lives of those around us to represent this kingdom with great accuracy, with diligence. Make it real, Father. Make it real how holy this mission is that we are on. Cause us to see Father, and not in any way take for granted, the privilege of accessing the throne of God for the provision, Lord, was Your Blood alone and the holy presence, but by recognizing You died for a purpose. You didn't die to make life better. You died to redeem men from a devil's hell. We pray for the souls of the lost, the enemies of the house of God. We ask that You would empower us to represent Your kingdom and to see a remnant saved in this hour. Father, help us to walk separate. Help us to be holy. Help us to freely give for freely we have received. We ask it in Jesus' Name. Amen.
Let's stand before the Lord, as the brethren come and we continue in an attitude of worship, in His presence. We thank Him for the Blood that was shed that gives us this bold access to the throne of God. To reject Jesus as Lord and Savior is to reject the effectualness of the Blood. To fail to pray when we're given privilege is to reject the effectualness of the Blood. We just say it's not that important, really, to pray always. In every situation to pray about the purpose of God, to pray accurately and to stop trying to inflict our will upon situations as we pray for others in intercession and tell God what they need. He knows what they have need of. They don't. He knows their heart. They don't and you don't. So we intercede according to the purpose of God. His purpose for us is this, the divesting of our own agendas and will and pray, not my will but Thy will be done. Not my kingdom, but Thy kingdom come. Order my steps, Father, free from temptation. Lord, help me to forgive as I have been forgiven. Help me to be able to pray as You and Stephen--some of the most powerful prayers ever prayed, "Father, forgive them." You want a powerful prayer? "Father, forgive them." All that says is, "Father, You're the judge, I don't have anything to say about this. I know that You're going to do right. I know that You're not going to leave anything that isn't handled justly. I've been so freely forgiven. I want to go represent Your forgiveness to a lost humanity. Open my mouth that I would speak boldly the forgiveness of God. And because of this Blood, encourage them to come boldly and access the throne of mercy and grace. We ask it Father, in Jesus Name. Amen."
As the brethren serve now, let's hold the emblems together until we've all been served and we'll partake in the goodness of God. Let's sing this chorus together as we worship. Hallelujah! "It's Your Blood That Cleanses Me..." As he continues to play, just worship. Just take this moment and joy in His presence. Let your heart pour out in worship and thanksgiving, for the privilege of accessing the throne of God. Let's sing it one more time. "It's Your Blood That Cleanses Me..." Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Father, we thank You for that privilege. Father, as You help us to see that prayer is so far beyond self-preservation and promotion. Lord, it's the vehicle that causes us to represent Your kingdom effectually, Lord. Your purposes in our lives, Father, and those to whom You've sent us and Father, we ask that we would never lose sight of the privilege of accessing the throne by this precious Blood, that we would come with all boldness in the true humility of the finished work that we've embraced. We come because we've been bidden. Father, in the natural man we would stand before You in shame and defeat, but because of this Blood we come and declare what You've said about us. We're the righteousness of God in Jesus Christ. Accepted in the beloved. Heirs and joint heirs of an eternal kingdom and for that we say thank You. And it's without merit. It's by grace and it's by mercy because of this broken body and with thanksgiving we partake of it now, Father, in Jesus Name. Let's partake together. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Conceived in sin, born in iniquity, but born again to privilege, and righteousness and holiness by the Blood of Jesus and with thanksgiving we partake in remembrance of You. Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Just worship Him tonight and thank Him. Just worship Him and thank Him for the privilege, the finished work. That, that's been freely given us as sons of God. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! We do worship You, Lord. We do worship You and we thank You for this great work that's been accomplished in us. Lord, we stand in awe, as we know what we are without You. But Lord we declare what You've said that we are, the righteousness of God and that we can do all things through Christ which is our strength. So naturally feeble and yet we take upon ourselves the armor of God and we stand and withstand because of Your grace and Your power. We sit in timidness, but we rise in boldness and go forth to proclaim as bold as a lion, the promises of our God with full assurance of faith that You confirm Your Word with signs following. We represent You, it's for You, it's by You and it's unto You. Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Let's sing it together. Just magnify His Name. "I Worship You Almighty God..." There's none like You, Lord and we delight in Your presence. Hallelujah! Father, help us. Help us to guard our lips and speak only that that You've spoken. And before we decree a thing to hear it in the secret place, the prayer closet, that we would speak only that, that's been spoken to us. And with boldness can declare the purpose of God and that men would see the good works and that You would be glorified and for that we're thankful Father. In Jesus' Name. Amen and amen. Hallelujah! Before you go, turn to somebody and say, "I'm thankful for the Blood." Go in peace, God's love go with you.
