We don't hate sin because of the consequences; we hate it because of the offense against God. You are not what you know; you are what you do - your choices. It's a dangerous thing when you think you know all the answers. The more time you spend in the presence of God the more jealousy you will have for God. Do you hate the evil you find in your flesh? No confidence in the flesh. Fear of the Lord brings hatred for evil. Hatred for sin can only come from an encounter with God. Make sure you continue to loathe yourself. Never forget what you're capable of without Him. Are you close enough to God to know when you've hurt Him? Worldly sorrow is concerned with self. God has emotions. He hurts, grieves and experiences pain.
