Prayer is a privilege, not an obligation. What price would you put on access to the presence of God? Why are we looking for satisfaction from a source when God is there? There is nothing we need outside of the Lord. He allows us to behold His beauty. Meditate upon Him. All the things we value: He is - and He is infinitely perfect in all of them.
