Truth is imparted by the Spirit of God. Everything necessary for my sanctification was completed on the cross at Calvary. It will take everything in you to stay on the altar and let him do the work. When the song stops do you have anything to say? You can't acquire truth on your own. If you're going to encounter God you can never assume that you know what you're doing. You can have the knowledge of God without knowing God. You hear from God and encounter God when you are seeking to glorify Him. You hear from God when your sole motivation is that he may be exalted and glorified in your life. How are you involved in the Kingdom? God's plan is perfect for my justification and my sanctification. It's up to Him.
