With God you are not just sustained. God satisfies abundantly. God is not stingy - we fail to draw upon Him. We give up too soon on God and don't press in. God is all satisfying if we'll give Him the opportunity. Your affections for God will be more easily stirred when you have a pattern of spending time with Him. Ask God to make himself real through the trials in your life. Serving God is not something we do out of obligation. Make the Lord the object of your delight. Find your joy in the Lord in spite of how things are going. Don't be your own god. We need a bigger vision of God. We should have strong affections for the Lord.
