Chastening is for our good. God's proving. God's exercising. Progressive - deeper death. Self creeps in to our perceptions, our comments. You finish your course when you're through with this life. Finisher - one who completes to the end. God's coming after what you love. Jehovah Jirah - the Lord will see to it. Are you willing to give it all? Joy of knowing you're not alone. The joy gives the strength to endure the pain. Being reunited with the Father was the joy set before Jesus. You can't love the Father if you don't know Him. If you don't come to Him He can't run to you cry. Grace is sufficient. Rejoice in afflictions. Bitterness springs up because the joy is not set before you.
